We had a screened in porch that was built by the original owners about 35-40 years ago. The concrete flooring flooded whenever it rained and drifted with snow in the winter. In addition, the dust from the woods on our property made the porch very difficult to keep clean. It was a part of our home that was hardly ever used, let alone enjoyed. The Smucker Brothers gave us beautiful 3-seasons porch and new deck using quality materials including Timber Tech flooring, Tongue in Groove Pine and double-paned sliding windows. The porch and new deck have been used more in the 3 weeks it has been completed, than the 7 years we have lived here. Needless to say, we are 100% pleased with their work. The Smucker Brothers and their employees were focused on their work and possessed the very highest of skills as well as work ethics. They were very easy to work with and made adjustments when we saw features we wanted to add or change as the project progressed.

Michael, his brothers and other crew were outstanding. The quality of their work is as good as can be, and I'm an avid woodworker. The cost of the project was 40% less than another quote from a Home Advisor pro. They did everything they said they would do within the timeframe they said they would do it. They even helped with a small problem with the building inspector (land surveyor, actually) which was resolved completely. I will definitely hire them again and won't bother to call anyone else.

We recently hired Smucker Brothers Construction Company of East Earl, PA for two major house projects: 1. To replace our exterior siding 2. To design and build a large second-story maintenance-free deck We could not be happier with the results. Additionally, the whole experience in working with the three brothers and their team of builders was a total pleasure. Before the project began, we met with one of the brothers, Mike Smucker, to plan the project. We discussed the design and reviewed product samples and colors with him to ensure that we would be happy with the outcome. Once all of the decisions had been made, they began the work, by mutual agreement, while we were away on vacation in August. We were amazed and delighted at how quickly they worked. When we got back within a couple of days of the start-up of the project, the original siding had been completely removed and the insulation, as well as a large section of the new siding, that had already been installed. They completed the siding project in little more than a week - including having to build a wall, replace an exterior window, and move another window from its original spot. We've had many compliments on the wonderful results. At the end of each workday, the guys cleaned up all of the debris so that there wasn't any unsightly mess left behind and, each day, they removed the trash from the premises in their truck so there was no need for us to rent a dumpster. As part of the project, we wanted to replace our original wood shutters but didn't'™t want to use a standard aluminum or vinyl replacement. So, one of the brothers, Alvin, built us shutters to our specifications out of a maintenance-free product called Azek. The shutters are sturdy and attractive and will last for as long as the house is standing. Once the siding project was completed, they began work on the deck. Within a few days, it started to take shape. Because the deck is not at ground level but is 10 feet above ground, it had to be constructed on �� which was no small feat. The foundational supports were quickly installed and two sets of stairwells were built along with two platform levels. A large bay window had to be removed and replaced by a sliding glass door opening onto the lower platform. In the midst of all of this construction, we realized that we wanted to replace our front & back doors as well as our lamppost. These tasks were added to the original work order and the guys did an excellent job on all of it. The deck is absolutely first-rate“ beautiful in design, spacious in size, and exceptional in quality. Our next-door neighbors, who have a beautiful deck of their own, teasingly told us that they're experiencing deck envy�� at seeing ours. We hired Sucker Bros. to build a 400 sq ft irregularly-shaped deck using Ipe wood and to install a stainless steel cable railing. The deck is very well constructed and looks great (also built to hold the weight of a hot tub) Very happy with the knowledge, skill, attention to detail and service provided by Smucker Brothers. Mike was one of the first to call me and provided an estimate. Pricing was much better then I had hoped. They completed the deck in a timely manner, cleaned up everything on site. It is simply GORGEOUS! There was an issue with some of the material after install; Mike took control, contacted the manufacturer and replaced, no charge to me, the steps, thereby honoring the warranty. This involved removing our present roof entirely, building a knee-wall raising the height of the house one-foot and then building a new roof six-feet higher than the old roof. Building dormers in the roof they were able to construct five rooms, adding a new floor to our house. I was very impressed with the engineering and use of pre-fabricated beams to construct the new floor on the house. Mike Smucker led the construction with a regular crew of six skilled workers. Very dependable they always arrived on time and it was a pleasure to watch them work. The result is a beautiful home

Quality of the work is as good as any I've seen, and their price was a little less, which makes them a great value. Had to stay on them a little about clean up, but overall very satisfied with the job they did. I'd use them again.

This was a porch rebuild. They were $2000.00 cheaper, about 20%, than the closest bid and took about a third of the time. In addition, quality is excellent. Also, a nice bunch of guys.
