About us
We are a third generation painting company with the fourth currently in training. My grandfather was an immigrant bringing with him his painting knowledge acquired in Italy. He had over forty(40) years of experience along with my father who has run the company for thirty five(35) years and myself with fifteen(15) years of experience so all together our company has been providing superior painting services to the particular customers of the main line for over ninety(90) years combined! We are a small company who depend on returning customers which is another reason you can rest assured knowing you are getting the best possible craftsmanship. All of our employees have a minimum of five years experience in the trade.

Being our home is over 80 years old, it required extensive repair and sanding to get our home ready to put on the market. We received an estimate from a very well known local painter and the price was 2x than the quote DiLugi & Sons offered. We took a chance! They arrived on time on the date confirmed, Both guys are warm, friendly ard hard workers - they take pride in their work. Extremely professional service and protected all our floors and furniture. When they left, no sanding dust compared to that well known painter who did our hallway a few years back. Our walls, trim and ceiling look incredible. I do a double take when I enter the rooms. Josh even offered paint color consulting when I couldn't decide. His choice was the right pick!
So glad we gave our job to a local small business. We already have them on schedule to do our last bedroom, living and dining rooms.

Great experience. We painted the master suite from a yucky, bland peach color to a dark plum-y neutral color. Throughout the process, Josh was responsive to all my detailed (perfectionist) questions, via phone and email, and he came right on time, even when I asked that they come very early (by 7:30am) the first morning.
Josh was refreshingly efficient and no-b.s. during the estimate meeting, and he got back to me quickly with the price, proof of insurance, and references. This process was a relief after the slick salesmen other companies have sent (who always seem to quote crazy prices, try to scare you with horror stories of other businesses, and blow you off as soon as they get the business). I also appreciated that he'd respond to me via email rather than merely telling me to call him.
The work began on a Monday morning and finished within three days, despite being a big job with a difficult, dark paint color, so I know they put in long hours. I entrusted them with the house key and they were very responsible with it. They even put it back in place, so it was one less thing I had to worry about every day. Josh voluntarily called me by noon the first day to give me an update on how it was going.
I was home one day during the work and Josh was so quiet I kept forgetting he was there. He was very pleasant to have in the house.
Most importantly, the end result was great. The paint looked fantastic, even though one of the rooms didn't have sharp corners. Because of the lack of sharp edges, some others had hassled me to death about painting the ceiling white, but Josh just did it without complaining about the work it took. Josh painted the outlet and light switch covers for me, and without my asking, he took half a day to touch up the baseboards and trim so that we got a clean line against the baseboards and all the wood trim looked as good as new (even though our agreement was only that he'd touch it up). I'm very picky about straight lines and was concerned that they did it freehand, rather than taping, but it turned out great.
He also proactively pointed out a nick their ladder made on the staircase wall. He touched that up (and I noticed he did a few other things near it, which they hadn't caused). It drives me nuts to have to harass people at the house about every detail, even though I always notice these things, so it was great that he proactively admitted this and fixed it.
Overall, it was a relief to work with someone professional, efficient, and no b.s. We'll definitely call them back. Before hiring them, I had also checked three of their references and heard similar very positive stories.
