The more I used them the more I noticed that they were making money grabs. Saying they things like, while we are here we can just do this for you. Then $600 later they did basic stuff without telling you what its costs, and pushing a dishwasher into place should never cost $600. Use caution dealing with this company. Just know they are in your home looking for ways to get more money out of you. (And there work isn't that great. Already had to fix something that they claimed needed to be fixed less than 2 months later)

They showed up on time, identified the problem within the first ten minutes and made solid recommendations on how to proceed. Excellent company with excellent service.

I'd grade them as an "A" overall.  They are consistently good.  They are always very professional.  they don't do work that is unnecessary.  If you call them and say hey I need this fixed and they come out and say I don't think you need that fixed.  That says something to me.  They come out pretty quickly.

Our furnace was past due for service, therefore, it was starting to give us problems.  We were having to hit the reset button more and more frequently.  As a result, the water would turn cold in the middle of a shower or dishwasher cycle.  This issue got increasingly worse in the past few days.  We got concerned that we would be without hot water over the Holiday weekend.  I called today shortly after 1:00pm.  Young & Bowman had someone here by 2:00pm.  Mario had the furnace serviced and it good working order in less than an hour.  We were not charged emergency service rates since the job was done before 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon.  Very happy with the service and price!  I will be using them going forward.  Thank you, Mario!

We are long time customers of Young and Bowman, and always receive excellent service. We have used them for larger jobs (recently replaced the water heater) and small jobs like this one.  As always, the plumber who came out (Mike) to fix the toilet was prompt and professional and efficient, while also also clearly communicating what we could do to avoid the issue in the future, and/or fix it ourselves.

The problem was a mess!  However, they came promptly and got the line in good working order, despite a problem with knowing where the "leak" was.  They were careful with our vegetation and at this time the line is fully functioning and the lawn looks as though nothing happened~!  We have used them in the past for less major problems and they are always polite and careful and take care of any issues.

It went great.  Furnace stopped working.  I called, booked appointment, they were very responsive and professional.  They clearly communicated what was wrong and they were careful to tell me what I needed versus what they might want us to do for maintenance.  I want to support them because they have always been good people to work with.  From the phone call through to the service at our home, everything was professional.  I have used many different contractors and services.  These folks are old school good!  Polite, clean and fairly priced

I have been using Young and Bowman now for about 8 years and this is my first review for them. All of the times they came to my house for any service all of the guys were professional and answered all of my questions, From sump pumps to spicets, to leaks. I have tried at least 6 different plumbers siince I moved to Bucks County. When I came across Y&B I was sold. Yesterday they installed a 20kw Honeywell Whole house generator. I can't say enough about Dave and his company.

Good price (lowest of 3 estimates) and were excellent and prompt in all aspects.  They are my go to HVAC now and I'm waiting on estimates for a water softener as well.  I'm guessing I'll be using them for that too.
All people were courteous, diligent  and they left the place clean.

We are re-finishing our basement and don't ever want a problem with water damage in the event of an extended power outage.  We didn't want to go with battery back-up as it is unreliable in the case of prolonged power outages. We had two other estimates, each around $3,000. Ray who is Young and Bowman's estimator gave us a great quote compared to the $3,000 the other two companies gave us.  Kevin who did the work is an extremely talented plumber and did a very professional job.  Beth and I would recommend Young and Bowman to everyone in the Bucks County area for your plumbing needs both for price and professionalism!

Water line underground had a leak.  They found it and repaired it.  The job was well done.  To expose the underground line required it to be hand dug and it was a little complicated as it went under the porch. My only issue was that when I described  the problem they said it was slow so they had a couple of diggers who could start right away. My mistake was not asking how much the diggers cost (no machinery involved).  They were there 2 1/2 days.  I did not realize that one digger cost $100 and the other $70 an hour.  My fault for not asking theirs for not discussing.  The hours are self reported  and as I was not there there is no way of knowing how long breaks/lunch actually  took.  At $170 an hour I need accurate time reports.
I thought they did a fantastic job.  I would have no problem in recommending them on that basis.  I wish I could use them again.  I just feel burned even though part of it was my fault so because of that I will not use them again.  So use them but get an idea of the costs up front!

Price: I thought the price quoted was neither too high nor too low -- just the right price given the labor and materials spent. Once performed the service, the actual price I paid was little less than the quoted (provided orally, not in the form of written estimate). However, when I made payment using my credit card, he manually wrote the credit card number on the invoice, which made me slightly uncomfortable, because I had been a identity theft victim before.

Professionalism: I thought his professionalism was "good", not "exceptional."  In other words, he explained just enough amount -- sometimes, I would have to follow up with additional question. He explained enough for me to get comfortable before commencing work.

Everything else was performed above my expectations. Particularly, the responsiveness and punctuality were exceptional.
