Excellent! Wade was very prompt in coming out to do the estimate and his price was very fair and competitive. Once we agreed on the specifics of the job, the office quickly set up a convenient appointment time for us. They arrived exactly on time and did a meticulous, neat job in fixing up our landscape planting beds around the entire house. They asked several times if everything was going OK and if there was anything that needed extra attention. The crew was very professional, polite and courteous. I could not have asked for a more comfortable experience with a service provider. The job went as good as I could have hoped for and I will call them back for all my future landscaping needs. Note: Photos below show mulching, edging and trimming of shrubs.

Nickett has damaged my property on several occasions. The smaller/ unprofessional things I very much let go (taking a weed wacker to the grill cover, knocking over and breaking solar lights, taking out decorations with the blower) but yesterday I placed a call about charges for weeks where they came out and admitted to more major damage done. I have never in my life spoken to such a horrificly condescending individual as the woman who answered the phone yesterday and spoke to me in such a way to let me know they don’t value my business. I’ve placed three calls to speak to a manager, and I’m doubtful that I will get one if she’s the one running that office.

Nickett landscapers burned several of my boxwoods by Overfertilizing while doing Spring clean up in May. They agreed to replace 2 of them. They just replaced them TODAY, September 4th. I paid them 1/3 of the deposit plus another 1/3 before the job started. The last 1/3 of the job was to be paid upon COMPLETION of the job. During the four four months while I waited for the two boxwoods to be replaced, November Nickett, one of the owners, left me continual messages to pay the balance. I left messages with her FOUR times asking her to return my call so I could explain that I would pay the final balance when the job was completed (the boxwoods replaced). She never returned any phone calls & even sent two invoices to me with interest! I will NEVER do business with them again!!!

"We take full responsibility for this problem. Some of [Member Name Removed]'s existing boxwoods were killed due to over fertilization. The work was performed 05/30/18. She contacted us within a week to let us know she thought there was a problem with her bushes. Her estimator, Jeff, emailed her back the same day letting her know he would be looking at them over the next several days and weeks to see if there was any improvement. When it became obvious that the bushes would not rebound, the bushes were replaced on 06/21/18. Approximately three weeks later (07/12/18), [Member Name Removed] called Nickett Landscaping explaining she did not think the new plants installed matched her current boxwoods. Jeff contacted her the next day to let her know he would be out to determine if the new bushes were not a match. He took clippings of the existing bushes and visited five local nurseries, between them the same bush as identified as 3 different species. Replacement bushes were ordered but ultimately did not match. On 08/17/18, Jeff spoke with [Member Name Removed] concerning the difficulties of matching the bushes exactly and the determination of species by the nursery. They decided the bush type that was to be used for replacement. The final work was completed 09/04/18. Nickett Landscaping prides itself on its customer service. We feel we were responsive to the customer and corrected the mistake as soon as we could. A total of 3 calls were made concerning the balance due for the work completed. The first was on 06/12/18 when the extent of the problem was not completely determined. The last two calls were on 07/12/18 and 07/20/18. The second call was a mistake. We should have waited to contact her again pending the outcome of the second planting. Our records do not show messages left for November to call for [Member Name Removed] only [Member Name Removed] re-iterating she would not be paying the final balance due until the work is completed. We failed this customer and we apologize for causing the problem for her and the length of time it took to resolve this issue."

Horrible company. I first called to get an estimate, which was pretty simple since my address was in their system from the year prior from a previous client. Still, it took several days for a response. Okay, it gets busy- I get it, I let that go. Next, the first billing- they charged the wrong card. On creating my account, they left the credit card number of the person who used to live here in my account and proceeded to charge HER card after services were completed. Had to call and get that sorted out. Two weeks later, I come home to find the rear driver’s side panel and bumper completely scratched up and dented. Easily over a 1000$ in damage. This company is the ONLY people in and out of this driveway during the day. My car, which has been parked for months- has not seen a road or highway for months since it is not inspected, currently. I call to complain with them and within 2 hours- I notice a Nickett truck in the driveway (white, in color). They sent a mechanic to look at the damage and take some pictures. He was apologetic and couldn’t believe this happened. He was going to get back to his boss and someone would get back to me soon... 20 minutes or so later, I receive a call saying they discussed the situation and that there’s NO way any of their crew did it. The equipment is green and they said there’s white and black scratches on my car. NOT paint, black plastic from the bumper and the white primer, since that’s how badly it’s scratched, is how I explained it. The mechanic who looked at my vehicle, agreed with me. Now, I am out over 1000$ to pay for the damage on my car that was made by a careless, lying individual and the company is out of a paying customer. Completely unhappy with their horrible customer ‘disservice’ and coverup. I’m looking for a new one though, if anyone has any recommendations?

I signed a contract with Nickett for them to trim all bushes/shrubs in yard and around property. They came and trimmed a few bushes (about 25%) and I thought they were going to come back the next day. When I called to ask when they would be back, I was told that they had already completed the job. I then had the owner come back out to check on the work that was done. His response was that these bushes grow back quickly and that they would not come out to cut the bushes. I pushed back again and he did not seem to care. I am puzzled as to how the contract says "all bushes and shrubs on the property" and only about a quarter were cut. I would NOT recommend Nickett for any yard work.

"At the time Mr [Member Name Removed] requested his estimate 04/11/17, he stated he wanted the crew to cut as aggressively as possible without creating bare areas so his curb appeal would not be affected. We submitted the general landscape cleanup and trimming. He received the estimate 04/15/17. He approved the work on 05/17/17 and the work was performed 06/05/17. When Mr [Member Name Removed] was contacted about final payment on 06/21/17, he stated he would pay when the job was completed. We had not received any complaints from Mr. [Member Name Removed] until we contacted him regarding the overdue balance. The estimator responsible for the estimate returned to the property the next day (6/22/17) to review the work done. He found the work was done as outlined in the original estimate. He explained to Mr. [Member Name Removed] the bushes had been cut as far back as possible without creating bare areas. Had additional trimming been done, bare areas would be seen in the bushes. Unfortunately, we could not resolve this issue with the customer."

We had an excellent experience with Nickett. All the staff we interacted with were extremely polite and professional. The work was scheduled and completed quickly. Our landscape designer, Jeff Trafidlo, was fantastic. We loved his ideas, and he happily revised his design a couple of times for us to make it work for our budget. Our new landscaping looks fantastic.

I do not recommend Nickett Landscaping - Horrible experience....and poor customer service. We had Nicketts replace our cement walkway and steps with pavers. The Owner came out looked at what we wanted done, we had an issue with the landing of our front steps sloping. Nickettss told us once we do the pavers you will not notice the sloping. They did the job in April - In June we called Nicketts back - the Owner came to see what our issue was with the work they done. The landing with the pavers was still sloping (never fixed) and very noticeable to the naked eye, neighbors and friends would comment on the work pointing out the sloping issue. The owner was very defensive and stated he would attempt to fix this for us - of course for an additional charge. we decided not to proceed with Nicketts nor do we plan to use them ever again.
On a bright note....We contacted Hugh Marshall Landscaping - who came out looked at the job, Hugh and his team corrected the sloping issue. Huge lesson learned - should have used Hugh Marshall in the first place ,excellent customer service and reasonable prices.

"These are great folks. We have done many projects over the years with them. When we pulled the paperwork from April 2014, 2 years ago. The customer understood that after we were done with the capping of the existing cement front porch pad, the slight slope of the existing pad would still be there. The capping of the existing, slightly sloping porch was the less expensive option than trying to make the existing concrete porch level. She was also with the crew when the decision was made on if the step would be level or have the same slope as the porch. The customer made the final decision. The customer was satisfied and paid for the job. Two months later the customer called and wanted the porch to be level. After meeting her with the installation team present, we presented her with a separate estimate for the additional work. She did not want to pay for the additional work. It is unfortunate we were not able to resolve the situation with the customer."

Becoming a Nickett Landscaping customer has been one of the best decisions I have made with my home maintenance. They do a phenomenal job and show a true interest in ensuring the lawn turns out beautifully week after week.
Beyond their quality work, their back office professionalism is superb. If I ever have a question or comment, they are always there either by phone or email. This is a level of service rarely scene in this industry and much appreciated.

Nicketts did excellent work in my yard. i had a long standing drainage issue where my sump pump let out right next to the house. They ran a closed line all the way to the back of my yard and tied in the two roof drains on that side of the house. The work was very professional done. They carefully pulled up the grass where the pipe was laid and replaces such that you could barely tell that the area was dug up. Would definitely use them again for outside work.

"We had a terrible issue with water pooling in our backyard after a medium rain storm which is problematic given that we have dogs that love to be back there. We had many professionals out this spring to look over the area and none were confident that they could come up with a solution that would alleviate our problem. I didn't want to spend $4,000 on something that "might" work.
One of our neighbors dealt with a similar issue years ago and suggest we talk to the people at Nickett. I scheduled an appointment and Scott Nickett stopped by to take look at the backyard. Even though it hadn't rained in over a week he was immediately able to see where the problem was and come up with a solution. The others sort of understood the problem, but Scott outlined the areas of concern and took his time drawing out a detailed map so he could take it back to his office.
Within a day we got a professional proposal in hand that detailed EVERYTHING they were going to do. You could tell that Scott took meticulous notes when he was at my house and made sure everything was covered.
The office called me to schedule the work and told me Scott would be there at 7:45am to mark out exactly where his crew would be doing the digging. He confiremed everything with me and then his crew showed up 15 minutes later and he went over the entire project with them. It was all in his notes, but he went step by step with them to make sure they understood everything they needed to do.
As for the crew.....besides being friendly....they were very professional, efficient. and respectful of my property. They cleaned up after themselves and given the amount of work and equipment they used in the backyard...you would not have known there was crew in my backyard after they were done.
We are scheduling more landscaping work with Nickett this fall. I have found their pricing to be fair, but most importantly I trust that they will do the job correctly.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Nickett Landscaping and I am absolutely shocked with the company's billing practices.
I hired them in mid summer for the first time.
My arrangement with them was to cut grass on the "every other week" schedule through the end of the season, which, based on the weather, this year would end in mid-September when the grass stopped growing.
Considering the weather and the state of the lawn, the services were absolutely not necessary past mid-September.
I saw them coming over to do some work at my immediate neigbour's property, and there was no work performed on mine since there was no grass to cut. I happened to be home to witness them not doing any work on my property.
However, to my total surprize, the Landscaping service charged me as if they did perform the work through the end of October 2014, and accrued fees!
I had a conversation with the company rep., and their approach was - we will keep coming even if it's not necessary untill you tell us not to come! No grass, snow, we would still come.
They were not willing to admit to not having the service done, or remove the charge , when it is obviously a fradulent attempt to collect the money just due to the fact they were hired for the summer.
I find it unreasonable and abusive. Filed a BBB complaint.

"This review comes as a complete surprise to us :( A review of the account shows there have been no prior calls. complaints or issues from this customer prior to receiving this review. We would love the Mrs. [removed member name] to call us to figure out where the communication broke down and reach a compromise. We do stand by our work and strive to meet each customer's individual needs. This customer did file a BBB complaint. Nickett Landscaping provided the necessary information requested by the Better Business Bureau. The BBB concluded that Nickett Landscaping ‘ …addressed the disputed issues and exhibited a good faith to resolve the complaint. Therefore, the BBB had decided to close the complaint.’ Unfortunately, the customer does not accept the BBB conclusion and still refuses to pay for service."

A++. Added an EP Henry wall to my yard. Chris came out on time and gave a detailed estimate and provide great ideas. Throughout the process Chris adjusted the estimate based off of my demands. When the work started the crew that dug out the area were professional and cleaned up the area upon completion. The crew that installed the wall were TERRIFIC. Will and his crew were experts and easy to deal with. If you are thinking of getting hardscaping done look no further. I would have no problem using them again. Thank you.

The quality of their work is high, scheduling is easy and communication is also easy. They ask you how you would prefer billing up front as to whether email or mail notification is be better. Email is what works best for us.
