"Thank you so much for your 5-star review, David! Your opinion is greatly valued and appreciated."
"Hello valued customers, as you may have seen all. our other ratings are 5 or close to ..why could we not make this customer happy? Please read on if you are curious ...Our goal is to have our customers rate us a 5 because they were satisfied with the work. Some of our projects are estimated with a clause about additional costs if the job runs over .......I went to this house to review the working lady asked for, we were asked to dig out the old grout (maybe 2 years old), grout lines less than 1 /8 ins we used a special diamond saw blade 2 1/2 in size ... the area was approx 400 sq feet with huge 2 ft x 4 ft tile I identified four of these huge tiles were loose and needed resetting ok no problem this was how the estimate was written up, once my crew had removed the grout it turned out there were 12 loose huge tiles need resetting or three times the original estimate, then the lady asked us to replace one of this large tile each one weighs about 50 lbs each and we had to very careful when we cut the new one to fit we didn't break it, this tile was also by the basement entrance so we had to remove wood trims as well. I gave her a bill for work to date, she was VERY. happy with the work we did we also put in epoxy grout in the floor and she loved the new look, I said I had to pick up a check for the work so far, I gave her a $250 discount, she wrote me a check I put the check in the bank...next day she texted said we were fired she was going to complain and put a stop payment on the check ......notice she did not write any words of complaint... why not... every now and then I get an unusual situation... in over 1,000 jobs never had this happen before when the owner says she is happy with the work pays the bill then puts a stop payment without a written complaint to me."
"Hi Marianna I was just notified of the review you gave us on Home Advisor I DON`T UNDERSTAND THE RATING WHEN YOU GAVE ME AND MY PARTNER 2 BOTTLES OF WINE AFTER YOU PAID THE BILL As you know we gave you an estimate for the amount of time for the work you asked us to do, With Handyman work and remodeling work, this is not an exact science , typically owners supply their materials for us to install. In your case we had to go and shop for the materials for the spigot which I believe was close to $130 As you know you have a list of work that would've taken a man certain amount of man hours to do If the total man hours would have been 10 that's what the job would've cost If there were two guys there and it took them five hours each that will be a total of 10 So whether there was 1, 2, 3 or 4 men there was really irrelevant because the hours it took to do the job would've been the same and two guys might've got the job done quicker . than one guy because they helped each other as in your case I think your issue is that you spent more money than you thought you might do If you had a fixed amount of hours that you want to spend money for we could've stopped at any point along the way As you know when it comes to remodeling and handyman work there are lots of variables that can affect how long a job may take You signed my Work Order that you agreed to the agreement and you signed my Work Order when we were ,you were happy with the work you were even graciously gave us two bottles of wine We did everything you expected it was all done to the quality you expected but it just took longer Should your review because the time it took affect our rating for a company for what we did The way your review reads is that you felt that I ripped you off by supplying 2 workers to do the work and yet you agreed to two workers which actually were in your home for half the time Anyway you look at it the man hours would've been the same Most handyman services could not do all the work we did you end up calling a plumber and a handyman to do those jobs and Plumbing rates are typically $30 more than what I charge per hour Which means if you had those other people come to your house they would've taken the same amount of time would've cost you a lot more money At the end of the day we were the best value , gave you the the job you wanted and got it done in just over half a day I had sent you a similar email asking to to reconsider your review but you did not respond I have to respond to the review to defend my company if I don't respond to the review then my potential customers only have one side of the story Jon Doylestown Handyman Services"
"We are very sorry that (consumer name withheld per their request) was so dissatisfied with our service to her. WE OFFERED HER MONEY BCK IN FULL BUT SHE REFUSED SHE REFUSED THE MONEY, I`VE NEVER HAD THAT HAPPEN BEFORE IN HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF JOBS OVER MY 20 YEARS PLUS IN THE BUSINESS. We do try hard to please all our customers, As part of our process we make a list of what the customer would like for Handyman services, With the Owner, this then becomes the work order. We ask the owner to sign their approve the agreed upon work order BEFORE we start work, and ask them to sign AFTER the work is completed. We were at Ms Sudell`s from 9.00 to 12.30 There were 6 items on the list that she had written us One item we couldn?t do was, the water filter which usually has a specific tool to undo the lid, I understand this was not available. To sum up the owner only paid for the work we did as it was Time and material . The owner signed the work performed on the line of our Work order that the work was completed. She even asked to get her a price to rehang the sign outside her property at the end of the work. There was no mention of any issues from the owner, and if there was why would she ask for additional work pricing? I was not aware Ms Sudell was dissatisfied with our service until I saw the poor review on Home Advisor. I promptly wrote an email to Ms Sudell, to try to figure out her issues and why would she not call me in the office if there was an issue, why sign my form that everything was done, Then write such a poor rating on Home Advisor, I also offered her the MONEY BACK IN FULL, put she seemed to have no interest in getting her money back?her response to me was that I should put a response on Home Advisor and the the Public decide for themselves. These were handyman jobs, the owner was only billed for the work we did, there was no damage , I offered the owner her money back. Don`t know what else I can do to ensure a happy customer.
