DES-CARR OVERHEAD DOORS

This company has a major lack of customer service and professionalism. Des-Carr Doors installed the garage doors along with a screen door (screen comes down when doors are up) to our brand new home. Our original home was lost in a fire. The screen door was installed less than 6 feet off the ground and the tracks had a sharp edge. Imagine losing almost half your garage as you cannot safely walk under the screen. After my complain the owner came back to my home and raised it another 2 - 3 inches. Cursing and complaining the entire time. Still not satisfactory but what could I do. After a short period of time the screen was falling out, the door would fall out of the tracks and the door handle fell off. The owner has ignored our calls and emails for over 4 months. My fiancé placed a review on the BBB and the owner responded with nothing but lies. Stating the screen was damaged by another professional etc. If he would have taken the time to come back to the home there could have been I'm sure an easy answer/fix. The fact is greed lead the owner to take a project which was too far from his house (his words). He then was unwilling to perform required maintenance, work and repair out of complete laziness. I will make sure to pass along this firms treatment to a couple who lost their house in a fire. This was not a wise business decision as the owner knows the field I work in and the builders I am in contact with.

Not great. Used my can of WD40 to lubricate the doors and then took my can with them when they left.

I called Des-Carr several times this year attempting to have my garage doors overhauled.
The first time I called to make an appt I left a voice message and never received a reply.
A week later I called and made an appt but they called back the next day to reschedule it. When the appt time came nobody showed up. They called me a few days later to say that they just realized they missed my appt, and they rescheduled. Nobody showed up for that appt either.
I called a couple of weeks later, left a voice message and never received a reply.

Des Carr called back and set up an appointment. They showed up the date of the appt and took pictures and measurements. They said they would submit an email quote in a couple of days. After a week I called and they said they were on vacation and would get back to me. They never did. We had used them in the past before the change in ownership. I would not recommend nor use them in the future. A simple "no we are not interested in the job" would have been the professional way to handle this.

Programmed 5 remotes and came back two weeks later at no cost to reprogram the remotes again.

When I first moved into my house about a year ago, I hired Des-Carr to help get my ancient wooden garage door back on track.  The service call was very quick and reasonably priced.  I knew I wanted to eventually replace the door as it was very poorly insulated and my bedroom is on top of the garage.  A couple months later, I had them come out to give me an estimate for different door options.   It took about 4 weeks to get the door installed as it was a custom size.  Unfortunately, the manufacturer produced the wrong style, but after a reorder that only took a week or so, we were back in business.  The install went very smoothly and it's definitely the quietest garage door I've ever heard.  Plus, I notice a definite difference in the warmth of my bedroom.

They were prompt and did what they said they were going to do. I would use their services again in the future if needed.

They are excellent and I feel they are very reasonbly priced. They are very prompt and have come out the same day whenever I have called them. I have referred their services to many of my neighbors and they have all been satisfied.

WORK COMPLETED ON TIME AND FOR THE PRICE QUOTED. DOORS WORKING IMPROPERLY WHEN THEY WENT TO INSTALL AND THEY CORRECTED AS THEY INSTALLED THE OPENERS.

THEY COMPLETED THE JOB IN 2 DAYS DUE TO NOT HAVING ALL THE PROPER MATERIALS. THEY WERE VERY APOLOGETIC AND STAYED AS LONG AS NECESSARY TO GET THE JOB COMPLETED THE NEXT DAY. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY.
