Central Bucks Landscapers

After years of reapplying mulch to our landscaping, it was time to have an overhaul. All of our landscaping needed to be re-edged, have the old mulch removed, cleaned out, re-graded and have new mulch applied. Also, 8 boxwoods were removed along with two azeleas and 6 rug juniper groundcover. Additionally, a river rock border was created for much of the landscaping to help with water erosion. I received three estimates for the work choosing companies based on Angie's List and non-Angie's List reviews. Scott Kallen, owner of Central Bucks Lanscapers ("CBL"), was the first to return my call. Due to the very busy time of year, it took a few weeks before I finally met with Scott to discuss the project. Scott was personable, courteous, knowledgeable and amenable to my ideas. Additionally, his approach to mulching and bed re-grading was inline with mine. Another plus was that Scott was able to give me a quote on the work before he left that same day. While CBL was not the cheapest, they were also not the most expensive. That being said, we went with CBL. Scott was on the job every day. He went above and beyond to ensure that the work was done correctly. No short cuts were taken. His attention to detail was evident as a tape measure was used for redefining the circular cutouts around trees. When building the river rock border, Scott was meticulous in the placement of the stones using the larger stones on the bottom to define the border outline and using increasingly smaller stones for the build up. Most landscapers would have just mixed all of the stones together with no attention paid to aesthetics. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the work performed and will use Scott again next spring when it's time to re-dress the landscaping.
