Canaan Cabinetry

It went very well! They were very responsive to our questions and concerns and attentive to detail and customer satisfaction.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the work from start to finish. We had the kitchen remodeled right before Christmas and we were very worried that there would be delays but Canaan completed the work right on schedule. A year has past and I love my kitchen. We are so happy that we found Canaan. They are very helpful, professional, and skilled at what they do. We feel that their pricing is very competitive, and that made a new high quality kitchen affordable for us.

All 3 of our remodeling projects were designed and implemented extremely well.  After a home visit which included asking for our design dreams, measurments were made and a photo shoot of the original rooms were taken.  Design drawing were completed by Neil.  Time was taken to listen to our vision about the designs and tweaks were made to fit with our ideas and needs.  After a deposit fee, Sue help a great deal with cabinet style and material selections.  Materials were allowed to come home to look at them in our house which was very helpful. We also got suggestions  for countertops materials and colors from Sue.

We were asked to make other material selections also by visiting a flooring store, plumbing fixtures design center, granite yard, shower door installer etc. all who helped us find the materials we needed.  Every place we went had our design plans from Canaan Cabinetry.  Once the materials were chosen Neil orchestrated having the materials, and trades (plumber and electrician) on site as the work started or progessed.  His schedule worked perfectly keeping everything on time.The projects were all started on the dates given to us and were finished by the projected time.

The workmanship by Canaan was suburb!  In the kitchen they refaced some existing cabinets and designed one whole new wall of cabinetry.   They match perfectly!  To explain the craftsmen skills and flexibility they restructured the inside of two original kitchen cabinets so  they became one open cabinet on the inside accessible from a door in the kitchen and a door on the side of the pennisula - super functional now!  In our master bathroom the design called for a wall to be partly knocked down to open up a corner shower - it is amazing how much more room our shower has - what a great design idea!  The one small hiccup we had was in the hall bath when they added the sink that was on our design to our quartz top and it was to small for the vanity top.  Neil came right over and saw that it did not function well and immediately order a new top made and a  larger sink.  Then drawers in our new vanity needed to be cut down on one side to accomodate the larger sink which they did with creativity so as not to take away the full function of the drawers.  Again wonderful craftsmanship!  No extra charges were added, they just took the materials to use on a future project.

I would strongly recommend using Canaan Cabinetry for a future remodeling project, in fact I did recommend them to a neighbor and they remodeled  their kitchen using Canaan Cabinetry too!

Excellent job.  I was told it would take 3 days and the job was completed in 2 1/2 days.   Excellent work.  Just beautiful.

I have no criticism as everything was done to perfection and as promised on time.

2012 - Kitchen remodel. Excellent design ideas and formal drawings. In addition, they very professionally helped us to choose beautiful quality cabinets and hardware. They were fabulous about always responding to our phone calls, questions and emails. We returned to them in 2015 for our master bathroom remodel. For this project, they expertly helped us choose a gorgeous cabinet, stylish sinks and lovely wood framed mirrors. Also their expertise and design eye directed us to pull our bathroom remodel together with a stunning Quartz countertop. In both remodels, the cabinets etc arrived on time. They were great about scheduling delivery and installation. They are one of the only contractors I would absolutely give a 10 out of 10 rating. Have confidently recommended them to friends. They are a quality family company.

Neal and Susan were very helpful in finalizing our kitchen cabinet selection to best suit our design and budget.  Their showroom consisted of a nice selection of cabinetry and countertop displays and hardware options.  They are professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and easy to work with.  Neal and Loren did a wonderful job of installing our kitchen cabinetry from Signature.

Canaan Cabinetry and the owners and employees probably are the most professional contracters I have ever dealt with. Everything was done on schedule as promised. The craftsmanship was exceptional. They cleaned up every day at the end of work. Our kitchen looks great. Worth every penny spent.

Neal is the owner and we dealt with him directly.  He is wonderful, patient, professional and a wealth of information.  We visited many kitchen contractors and had a few designs and quotes.  Neal 'got' us and what we wanted - didn't try to give us 'the standard' as many others did.  Our kitchen is contemporary/transitional and although he does a lot of traditional work, he nailed the design concept. All his suggestions were perfect!  Workers are punctual, professional, and skilled.   Its been a while (I wasn't a member of Angie's list then) but if I recall the job was completed on time.  Their expertise and attention to detail will not disappoint.  We are particular, and it's rare to get a contractor who gets that.  Yes, you pay for it. They are not cheap, but we feel it was worth it.  After just having our bathroom remodeled and having a slew of detail issues (as well as professionalism problems) we can see that you do get what you pay for!  Ultimately our kitchen was beyond our dreams.   Oh, and since I am writing this review well after our install, I can also comment on their service - exceptional! 

Only hiccup was the cabinet manufacturer we chose. We picked the least expensive of the three  custom cabinets they carried at the time.   Quality of the finish was not up to par considering what we spent; cabinets had bits of fibers in the top coat.  Neal had them come out and ultimately, they replaced almost all the doors. Roll out shelves all were cut to size at the factory and never had an finish detail done on them so all the cut edges (only on one side) were left with that rough cut; rough, splintery edges.  Canaan's carpenters finished them all off on the one side to a smooth finish, so problem was solved.  Just felt that they should have never been shipped in that condition nor should Canaan have had to 'fix' their mistake.

Would not hesitate to recommend them.  Just know you will pay handsomely for their quality.

OVER THE YEARS, WE HAVE USED CANAAN CABINETRY TO PUT IN TWO FULL KITCHENS. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL. SCOTT SAURER, IS SUCH A PROFESSIONAL AND IS WONDERFUL TO WORK WITH WHILE DESIGNING A NEW KITCHEN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
