When Bill Vandegrift left the family's original location on South Main St in Doylestown, he was told that customers would never travel the 2 miles outside of town to shop. After all, Vandegrift's had been on South Main Street since 1936. As everyone has come to find, Bill Vandegrift, Inc. is still going strong over 46 years later. Bill and Ginny began the business together in the New Britain location in 1962. In the early 1970's, their son, Bill, joined the business while still in high school. The company philosophy was based on being the most customer oriented appliance dealer possible. While Ginny worked in the office, Bill Jr would handle the installations, and Bill Sr would take all the service calls. Even as the business grew and employees were added, the standards never changed. Each customer could be assured that they would receive the personalized attention they had come to expect. Now with the fourth generation of family in the business, Bill Vandegrift, Inc. maintains the same personal business approach Bill and Ginny began. Over 5 expansions and unprecedented growth, the business model remains the same. Customers will receive personal attention when in the showroom, professional installation on delivery, and the best in-home service techs in the area. On display in the expanded showroom, you will find most major brands, including Wolf, SubZero, Dacor, Kitchenaid, GE Profile, Bosch, TurboChef, Whirlpool, Frigidaire, and more. I have purchased new appliances (dishwasher, refrigerator) and had old appliances (washer, dryer, refrigerator) repaired by Bill Vandergrift on several occasions over the last 5 or so years. Whether it's Daryl, the salesman, the installers, the servicemen, orthe schedulers, everyone there has been professional, courteous, responsive, and honest, and the prices reasonable. I am stunned, quite frankly, by the negative reviews because I have never had anything but a positive experience here. This morning I explained that I was desperate, that my washing machine had broken down while I was having a lot of other things going on (car trouble, for example) and someone was here to fix the washer within the hour. It's a very old Maytag Washer and, a couple of belts (and one removed child sock later), it's back to working much better than before.

"[member name removed], Thank you for expressing your frustrations and concerns. We are still willing to help you out with these issues. Since your first email , when you came in to visit, to when our installer came out to look at your microwave , our main goal was to complete the work and to satisfy you. Since day one I was trying to work with frigidaire to resolve the issue and possibly get you a new refrigerator. As soon as they stated that they would not help you because its outside the one year, we gave you a few suggestions that would work. At that point I sent our tech out to silicone the crack. The reasoning behind that was so the crack would not get any larger and cause you any further issues down the road. The only other way to resolve the issue was that we were willing to give you a discount on a new unit. As for the range, I went thru frigidaire to see if they were willing to help with this issues as well. Again they said since it is outside the warranty their hands were tied. We were willing to give you a discount on the parts and labor, but you refused the service on the range. Finally, our installer went out to look at the microwave, we met your neighbor at your house. As per your email you stated that the installer was very professional and explained how he thought something was dropped on the door. We are very sorry that you are frustrated with what has happened with your appliances but we are still willing to help you out. Please feel free to let us know how we can help you Bill Vandegrift Inc..."
