Barb-Lin Carpet One Floor & Home

This was my first time using this company for flooring, and it was a great experience from beginning to end. I had been having trouble finding the wood I wanted for our master bedroom and hallway, but Frank, their salesperson, quickly found the perfect style and I just love the results. They were very accommodating on setting up my installation dates, and their installers were on time and worked hard each day from 8-4 in terrible heat- four days straight. The installers were neat, polite and did a super job!

Heather our sales person very knowledgeable gave us great ideas how to use vinyl planking. Very reponsive. The installers were fantastic, professional. They were very meticulous , every detail was important. They used lots of wood screws , to stop floors from making noise, not one issue with floor noise throughout house, these guys were outstanding, and that is not bs. I was not happy with them at all. We've been around for years and years, they did a crappy job. I had to have them come back and fix it and he still haven't finished. Barb Lin Carpet I believe was the one I wasn't too happy with. The carpet was all right but they came in and took the vinyl flooring in. I had to have somebody come back and inspect it because they cut everything wrong. They actually took pictures. It was really bad. They came in and took pictures and they haven't redo it. It was horrible. I would not ever recommend them to anybody else. They still haven't finished. The transition piece between the carpeting and the vinyl flooring, they still haven't come back and finish that. It was a little expensive. The quality of the product is probably an "A".

In advance of the installation the store sent a guide for preparation which was very helpful ie. removal small items, unplug lamps, tv anything and quot;valuable/breakableand quot; that I could easily move myself. Mike from Barb-Lin delivered the wood as requested within the time frame I requested. When he returned to do the installation the job was completed over the day and a half just as I was told. The job was done with minimal and quot;dust/messand quot; The old carpet that was taken up was removed ad disposed by Barb-Lin., a real plus. Rolled up carpet on the curb side doesn't always get picked up on the same schedule of regular trash day.

The services I have received from Barb-Lin was excellent in the past and this most recent experience was also excellent and that is why I am a returning customer.

I will be working with them in very near future to install carpeting and will write another review.

Barb Lin installed a bamboo floor on my concrete sub floor and we realized that we may have a water issue around the end of July or early August. In early September we called Barb-Lin to have someone come out and take a look. John McCarty (Barb-Lin) concluded that we did have a water issue. We then had an inspector come out to check the the subfloor and flooring and those results concluded that we have moister coming through the subfloor.
We reviewed our invoice and adhesive and flooring installation guides and concluded that there was an issue with installation. We have spoken to both the flooring manufacturer and the adhesive manufacturer and after reviewing all the findings and paperwork from Teragren and Bostik’s adhesive we found the following guide lines:

*Teragren Installation Guides Lines - Regardless of subfloor moisture content/moisture vapor pressure, Teragren strongly recommends the use of a moisture barrier or vapor retarder for all Installations of Synergy Strand Bamboo Solid-Strip flooring.

*Bostik Warranty - Bostik’s BEST, BST, EFA+, and TKO are not intended for use for subfloor moister protection for solid or bamboo hardwood flooring and are not warranted for such use.

he owner of Barb Lin Carpet One refused to assist in anyway stating they did not do anything wrong. We took all the proper steps to communicate with Barb Lin's owner and ended up getting the Bucks County Consumer Protection Agency involved. They still refused to assist. Do not do business with these people they don't stand behind their work and they are very expensive.

Disaster, first had carpet installed in 2006 in family room, stairs and hall. Carpet stretched and frayed. We got compensation from the manufacturer and bought an upgraded line. Install is now 3 years old and the and all the seams are showing. BarbLin put a seam right in the middle of our stair landing, looks awful. Poor choice of seam location and overall poor install job, both times. They did help us get compensation from the manufacturer on the 2006 install, tho.

Very nice job. Installer (Mike) was very prompt and professional. He helped more than strictly necessary with moving the kitchen island, the toilet and other items and was pleasant to have around. The flooring looks great -- very posh for the money we spent.

Very flexible, good service, excellent installation. Working with Frank over the phone was great--we set up the sale from afar and he made sure everything was as we asked. More expensive than some, but the installers were so good that it was worth it.

CAME OUT AND MEASURED FOR CARPET. DELIVERED CARPET AND PADDING. LEFT HOUSE A LITTLE MESSY.

INSTALLATION WAS QUICK AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.
