We had recently completed a full inground restauration with Aqua Renovations (Bob Witaker); we have a 25,000-gallon (20/40 feet) inground old pool which had been in a need of renovation since 20 years agoâ ¦it was in a very bad shape. Bob was easy to work with, and through whole project, he was a very good coordinator for the teams involved and a good communicator with all the parties involved; he was very helpful since the first meeting giving us advice without trying to sell us extra stuff or servicesâ ¦ even offering his own swimming pool as model. All the teams involved were punctual, courteous, easily accommodating our requests, and very effective on their tasks. Everything was done right, on time and at a fair price, I would wholeheartedly recommend Aqua Restorations/Bob Witaker for inground pool restorations.

We have a 20' X 40' concrete pool that is 60 years old with several coats of stubborn paint, cracks and leaks. Basically, an old "cement pond," as the Beverly Hillbillies would say. We met with a half dozen pool renovation companies and received different input from each, from painting to complete renovation of the coping and bond beam replacement. Prices ranged considerably. We elected to go with Bob Whitaker and Aqua Renovations and could not be happier. Bob was sincere, easy to work with and did not try to sell us on anything we did not want. All crews were on time, professional, efficient and friendly. And, FAST. Step 1: 4/5/25, Water blast paint off with 40,000 PSI blaster - 13 hour day for 4 men. Step 2: 4/8/24, Grind out cracks, fill with cement - 2 hours with 3 men. Step 3: 4/20/24, Acid wash and base coat - 2 hours with 3 men. Step 4: 4/21/24, Plaster and finish coat - 7 hours with 8 men. Watching these professional is a sight to behold. Step 5: 4/22/24, Water delivery via Aqua-Duck trucks. Step 6: 4/23 and forward, Up to us to maintain pool per NPT directions. We now have a fantastic looking pool that we are proud of. We went with NPT Aqua Blue with blue glass beads to add the finishing touch.

Our family moved into our new home and to our surprise our pool was completely unusable. As you can imagine our kids were disappointed to say the least. We knew getting the pool renovated had to be the top priority. We received many quotes locally. Aqua Renovations (Bob) was the best price. Not only did Bob give us the best quote but also provided higher quality items, exceptional customer service, and everything was completely redone in just a few days. Bob was always a text away and was happy to answer any questions we had, make recommendations and provide us with peace of mind for such a large purchase. I would highly recommend using Aqua Renovations if you are looking to do any type of renovations on your pool.

As with a prior 1-star reviewer this is also my first negative review post for any company. Aqua Renovations (aquarenovationspa.com) refinished our pool 9/17/20 and as of 6/15/21 our **20-year-finish** needs replacement. This is the result of an improper application process performed by Aqua as explained in the following article: poolchloraz.com/plaster-... The top middle photo in the article could have been taken from our pool when the whitening began to spread. Now 70% of the surface is bleached out. Bob Whittaker (the **owner** of Aqua) blamed our pool closing service company for allowing poor water chemistry which he said caused the issue. The closing chemistry was perfect. However, even if it was not, the article above explains that improper chemistry cannot cause this deterioration, a fact that has now been confirmed by two experts I consulted who said the cause was an improper material mix and/or application. Whittaker (Aqua) has refused any settlement regarding this, even when I proposed his contributing only 1/3 of the cost of a refinishing. He alternatively suggested that I sue his chosen material supplier, NPT. I did contact NPT multiple times over the past month to ask that they evaluate this situation. To date, I have had zero responses. My attorney investigated Aqua and, as a prior negative reviewer reported, found that **Aqua** is actually one person who hires other companies to do his work, and maintains no actual business assets to defend legally. He does not have to, and in at least in this instance, chooses not to stand behind the work done by the subcontractors. Whittakers customers then have no enforceable legal recourse if that work is poor since the contract is only with Aqua, and not with the subcontractor. Buyer beware. While the Aqua bid was the lowest I received, it has now become by far the most expensive choice. I would encourage the reader to utilize real companies with actual facilities and employees, folks who stand behind their work.

Very pleased with the responsiveness and professionalism of Aqua Renovations. Bob took his time to answer my questions and explain what our pool delamination and plastering job requires.

I called Aqua Renovation after deciding to put tile on my in ground fiberglass pool. The original pool company told me the tiles needed to be place during the manufacturing process only. I contacted Bob from Aqua Renovation and he assured me he could place the tiles. The next year we lost a few tiles in which Bob did replace for free. The second year we lost even more tiles and questioned our decision to tile our fiberglass pool. Bob ask me to give him some time to come up with another solution. The solution is called FIBER TILES. Bob completely removed all existing tiles and replaced with the fiber tiles. We made it thru the first summer without any issues. The fiber tiles can be easily cleaned and soft to the touch when entering/existing pool. Thank you Bob for taking the time to come up with a solution on how to make a boring fiberglass pool appealing and beautiful.

We were intimidated but the size of our project (an ancient pool with crumbling walls and missing tile), but Bob and his crew were amazing. Everything came out beautifully. We were happy with the price, the timing, and the quality. Very nice experience.

This is the first-ever bad review I have taken the time to write but felt it was warranted. I hired Aqua Renovations from Doylestown, PA to remodel our existing pool, to include re-plastering, retile, and stain concrete around the pool. Initial meetings were good and the price seemed fair. Once the job started I realized that Aqua Renovations does not do any of the work. Bob subs it all out to company from Texas (Ocean Blue). The work seemed rushed and short cuts were taken to get the job done and paid. One example rushing is staining the concrete in the pouring rain, obviously, it looked horrible the next day, and needed to be re-done. Bob was never on-site when the crew from Texas was working on my pool, it seemed he wanted me to be the supervisor on the job, relaying information to his crew. Even the last day when the job was supposedly complete, he would not even come and see the finished product. When the job was finished, there were footprints all throughout the new plaster, when I complained about it, he texted me to keep brushing When I continued to complain, the guys from Texas came back and worked on it, clearing up only some of the prints. When I talked to the plaster guys, he told me he made the prints when he put the light back in and the drain cover at the bottom of the pool. When I complained again to Bob, he told me that the plaster guys said that it was not him and inferred that it was me that put the footprints on the plaster, which is impossible because no one was ever in the pool except the plaster guys. I feel as Bob was challenging my integrity. Ten days after the job was completed Bob showed up at my house to drop off a pool cleaner that was part of the deal, at this time he finally saw the completed job, and he got to see all the footprints. He tried to tell me the pool looked beautiful even after seeing the footprints. His explanation to me was sometimes happening and sometimes guys on the crew do not give, not what you want to hear when you spent $16,000 on a remodel. He then talked about how nice his other jobs are, and I questioned why I paid the same amount as his nice jobs but got no answer. I learned a lot in this experience and will never hire someone who just subs the job out, which apparently is very common in pool remodels. Take time and research the company and who actually does the work. My wife and I spent our hard-earned money on this, and just feel this experience took a lot of the fun out of getting a remodel.

Bob Whitaker responded quickly to our inquiry on HomeAdvisor and made an appt to survey our pool and spa. We needed a complete resurfacing as the original plaster was in poor condition. In addition, we needed new tiles installed around the perimeter of the pool and spa. Bob gave us a detailed estimate within days, and recommended durable products that should remain in good condition for decades. When work began, we were incredibly impressed with his hard working and very detail oriented crew. It was obvious to us they take immense pride in their craftsmanship. Each day, they left the work site in a clean and orderly condition. When work was completed, Bob provided clear instructions on how to chemically treat the water to ensure the new surface cured properly. The pool looks absolutely gorgeous and we could not be more pleased with the outcome.

I highly recommend Aqua Renovations PA for pool tile and plaster renovations. Bob was professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and on top of the project from beginning to end. The plaster and tile crews did a great job and left the pool area clean after each work day. The job was finished on time and looks great!

Contractor/owner had the nerve to demand more money after job was finished and paid in full. A contract had been signed and agreed upon. Subcontractors did an excellent job. Not our fault if job was misquoted. Owner freeked out and was very unprofessional.
