TCM Finishes

Tom and his team are very professional and easy to work with. Our initial project included a repainting of our kitchen cabinets. Their work was outstanding, and the results led to our hiring TCM several more times since. TCM is our “first call” painting contractor!

The bedroom had a wall paper border that would not come off.   TCM was able to address the problem by covering the border with some type of magic and paint over it.   You would NEVER know that there was an issue there, the wall is completely smooth.    The bathroom had some terrible bumps and wall damage, again, TCM worked their magic and it looks perfect!

This is the second time we've used TCM.  Both times we experienced professionalism, punctuality and fantastic work.   Tom is amazing at helping with paint colors as well.    Will definitely use TCM again!

They came when promised, spent the necesasary time to prep the areas, repair the walls and ceiling. They cleaned up each day and completed the work on time. W e just had new floors installed and there was not a drop of paint on them.The rooms look great. We are very pleased and we plan to have them come back for additional painting.

Tom was extremely professional from the word go. He was responsive to my initial phone inquiry (called back within a couple of hours after my first VM message), came by the same week to walk through and give us a written estimate of the costs, and gave me a reasonable estimate on the date that his crew could perform the service.

He called back without prompting about a week before the date we had discussed to let us know that they were available to do the work and to schedule an arrival time/ discuss logistics. Tom arrived with his crew by 8:15 on Monday morning, as promised, performed another walk-through to reconfirm what we wanted done. Then, his crew took over and began the work. I specified that we were concerned about dust and dirt in our adjoining rooms, so they taped off the areas that they would be working in with plastic. They also covered the floor with paper to avoid getting paint on the hardwoods. They had to cover the existing varnished wood trim with a primer, and I told Tom that I was concerned about VOCs because my 16-month-old would be breathing in the paint fumes in the evenings. He selected a low-VOC per my request. Even so, Tom recommended that we try to stay out of the house as much as possible while they were priming, so we ended up taking the baby to sleep elsewhere. They sanded rough edges where needed, filled in gaps between the trim and wall with caulk, and primed everything on the first and second day. We picked out paint colors and they finished painting from days two through four. Partway through the job, we asked them to add decorative quarter-round moulding at the bottom of the existing trim, including one rounded wall, and Tom ensured that this was done before the job was finished. (He gave me an estimate on the additional costs, which were minimal and very reasonable.)

The team was well-mannered and gracious in our home. When they finished up, Tom asked how we thought the process and service went. He delivered the check on Friday. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with the work or the price of the work. Everything was top-notch. We have already asked Tom for another estimate to work with them again in the Spring.

Tom and his team were great. We decided to go with Tom because he was so polite and his pricing was the excellent compared to the other bids we received. We originally hired them to paint just the trim (white from natural wood) and quickly realized we wanted them to finish our 'to-do' list. His team was punctual every morning, arrived at 8:30. What amazed me the most was how clean they left the place at the end of everyday even though I told them they didn't have to worry about it. They moved everything back the way they found it, and even hung the drapes/pictures back up.
His team was polite and professional. They would even ask to refill their waters up from the fridge, so courteous. They job they did was great and they were very accommodating to say the least. Our home looks fantastic, would highly recommend Tom & team for your painting needs!

I heard about TCM from a coworker who had a great experience. I met with Tom and a few other local painters and Tom impressed me the most and came in with a competitive price. He and his team were professional, neat, quick and pleasant. The work was done in just a few days, including the trim, ceilings and doors and the team cleaned up each night so we didn't even know they had been there except for seeing the progress they made. I would highly recommend TCM, and plan to use them for future work.

My young family and I spent the better part of two weeks with the TCM crew while they painted all most every room within our new home - they were great to be around, professional, skilled, detail oriented, and worked hard to also accommodate children within the house…they even put up with several mid-project color changes with a smile!  Couldn't be happier with the crew and the work.

They did a great job.  On time each day.  Very fast, yet careful.  In addition to the usual patching of nail holes, etc. they repaired a couple of places in the drywall that were clearly the result of poor workmanship on the part of the original drywall hangers. Hope to use them again on future projects and would highly recommend them to others.

From start to finish the work was flawless.  Quotation detailed every room, two coats of paint on all walls and woodwork, patching, sanding, etc.
Painters cleaned everything, even floors when they moved furniture.  All areas were left spotless.  This was over a week of painting.  No interruptions.  From beginning to end, workers showed up every day.  18-year-old home with cracks and anchors from previous owners were patched flawlessly.
Tom, the owner, was in touch with me throughout the job. 
Three puppies were able to stay in the home during the work being performed.  Just put them on a floor that was not being addressed for the day.  This is a 4-story home.
This was the higher of three quotations, but well worth every dollar.  The detailed quotation allows you to modify the work as you wish to fit your budget.  You can't go wrong with Tom and his team.

Tom was fantastic to work with. He was prompt and reliable. He was very careful and thorough. He came when he promised and was done when he said he would be. He was also flexible when we changed our mind about paint, dates and extent of the project (we added on the basement at the last minute). I would hire him again in a minute. In terms of price - I think he is reasonable but not cheap (he was our middle estimate). I think paying a bit more for his degree of service is more then worth it.

The soffits and fascia had not been painted for 20 years. Tom advised me that he would need to handle the paint removal assuming there was lead paint. His crew protected the plantings around the house, scraped the old paint, cleaned every day and disposed of the trash. He was punctual and once started, completed the job in a week. I chose two trim colors in addition to the white stucco and his crew was careful in their painting.
