Pete was quick to respond to our emails. He provided a reasonable price for the work and was punctual and reliable. As for the job itself, Pete did a masterful job in building out a cement board frame for our new stone fireplace. He dealt patiently with the many design changes that we considered, worked with us closely on determining the precise dimensions of the framing, and he proactively created an internal support system so that we could easily anchor the new mantle of the fireplace. Pete was very methodical in his work on this project, which was complicated by the need to integrate a pre-existing firebox lintel, yet he perfectly incorporated those features into the overall design. The frame he built was exceptionally sturdy and our subsequent construction of the stone fireplace (which included hundreds of pounds of stone and mortar) proved that Pete?s framing was perfect in terms of alignment, depth, and strength. We found Pete to be very approachable, personable, an excellent listener, and a very fine craftsman who kept us informed about his progress and completion schedule, which we view as the ideal qualities of a construction contractor.
With Pete's quality framework, we were able to apply the stone veneer ourselves and save $$$$. It looks fabulous. Thanks Pete

Fantastic! Pete's level of professionalism is top notch! He is extremely organized and detailed. He is thorough in every aspect of his work from the care of his tools to the care he takes with your home. He worked with us to determine the best place for the island to create the best sight line from the front door into the kitchen.
Pete was punctual and meticulous. You get a sense from his strong work ethic that he is treating your house the way he treats his own home.

In an effort to make the process less stressful, we opted to use Pete through an Angie's List Big Deal promo. Our thought was that it was a low risk way of having a small project done while getting to know Pete's capabilities and responsiveness.
Through the entire project, Pete was incredibly responsive and remained flexible as the project evolved from a small drop ceiling into a significantly larger job that involved building and finishing a partition wall in our basement, framing out under our basement stairs, installing doors in the new partition and other electrical work that included new lighting, outlets & switches.
Bottom line - Pete did a fantastic job and we're anxious to have him back for the other 3 projects we need to have done. He was able to offer creative solutions to some of the issues we needed to resolve. In addition, he was incredibly detail-oriented, timely and communicative. Ultimately, It feels good to have a contractor we trust for future projects!
