Dryer Vent Wizard of Southeastern PA

I work third shift and I go to school full time. The technician left me a message stating that he wanted to service my vent around noon on a day I was scheduled to take a final. This was not convenient for me since it was in the middle of my sleep schedule. I left him a message at 9:45 pm the night before he wanted to come. Today, I called him to reschedule. He bluntly stated that he was no longer willing to service the vent, because he had attempted to come despite my voicemail message. Does not listen to voicemail and he is unprofessional.

Gerry was easy to contact and after I described my situation, gave me a ballpark estimateover the phone. Scheduling the work was easy and efficient. Gerry communicated easily with me, and gave me a detailed quote upon arriving at the job site. The work was done professionally and quickly. When he performed the work, he took great care to keep things clean in the house and he certainly did the best job possible, rather than doing the bare minimum. He took extra care to cleanly route the new duct in my garage, rather than take shortcuts that would have looked bad. I appreciated the care he took in the job and I highly recommend him!

Gerry was very punctual and professional and came right on time as promised.  Told me the cost right up front and what he would do. He went up un the roof and cleaned out the outside vent then cleaned the vent from the inside and installed a new dryer hose.  All the work was professionally done and clean, I highly recommend the Dryer Vent Wizards, they are excellent craftsmen.

Gerry responded promptly to my inquiry and we set an appt that fit my schedule. Tim arrived on time and did a thorough vacuum cleaning after replacing several sections (at my request) of the flexible vent with rigid piping.  If you blink at the price...don't...as my venting system runs about 30' with a few 90 degree elbows. I feel it was a fair price for the services performed and there is no price tag on safety. I recommend this company to anyone who is looking for dryer vent services.

Gerry was very professional and very clear in all of his communications with me. He called me to tell me what time he would arrive within the time frame he had given me the previous day. He was very courteous and friendly, while also serious about his work. I was so thankful that he took the time to do a thorough job of cleaning out and inspecting our dryer vent, since we haven't had it done since we moved into our home 2 years ago. It was suggested to my husband & me that we should change our dryer from a back vent to a side vent when it was installed, but Gerry was very helpful in explaining why that wasn't necessary and it wouldn't help the efficiency of our dryer. He actually was able to install a new piece and cut off some venting to make our dryer more efficient, which he explained to us in detail as well. I felt that he was honest, and I appreciated that. He said because of the length of our dryer vent and the amount of dryer use, we would not have to get our dryer vent cleaned for another 2 years, and we could decide to use them again or another company. I see no reason why we would not use Gerry's company again! We have 2 cats and he was good with them and asked us about our infant son while he was here. I think it's nice when people take the time to connect with you on a personal level as well!
I assume the price was good for the time & services provided - I felt that we definitely got our money's worth. But to be fair, I have no other prices to compare it to.

He removed debris from existing dryer vent, replaced inside vent, and external cover. Overall, work was professionally done to our satisfaction.

They did an excellent job. They went outside on a ladder, up to my vent and cleaned out all the lint. After that was done, my dryer worked perfectly.

Gerry responded quickly to my initial request via e-mail. We wanted to have a new dryer vent installed from our laundry room to the outside of the house - the dryer vent was previously venting into the garage. He was out to see us within a few days, gave us a reasonable estimate and worked with our schedules to get us in as soon as possible. He and another gentleman arrive on-time to do the work and were here for approximately 2 hours. They were careful and thorough with their work and left our laundry room as clean as it was when they arrived. Our new dryer vent is great - I'm very happy with the results. I would definitely use Dryer Vent Wizard again.
We also used Gerry in our previous home for a dryer vent cleaning (of a very long run) and he was great to work with then too.

Came out and did a perfect job, replacing the ducting from the outside of the house. Didn't require cutting into the drywall of the basement for replacement or removal.

overall good experience.  owner was on time, replaced my dryer vent and piping, and everything seems to be working good!

Over the phone I was quoted a price  of $200 to $300 to install the additional vent. When they arrived they said it would cost $500 because the wall was thicker than they thought and it was a few feet higher than they originally thought. Then they said it was going to be $425 if they could cut the whole out from inside the building (but only if we moved the furniture etc). Then they said the price was going back up to $500 again. Then they said they couldn't do the job today because they didn't have the time. Then I asked them to leave.

Gerry corrected most of the problems the day he gave me the estimate. The prior contractor had incorrectly installed a exterior cap that was incorrect for the application. This plugged the vent with lint and caused condensation. The condensation pooled in the pipe. Gerry returned the following week and corrected all of these errors. The work was performed quickly and I am very satified with the finished product.
