They were punctual and careful with the furniture and rest of the house. They would stop and ask questions for clarity along the way.

Alex and Brian were awesome. I had a million questions and he answered them all. He was able to work around our schedule, obtained the flooring we wanted for half the price of anyone else, and installed it all quickly. He was also able to sand down our pine stairs and stained the treads to match the rest of the flooring to tie it all together. A few months after install, we noticed a couple of the boards were getting messed up, and when we called him, he inspected the boards (it was not an installation issue, rather a manufacturer defect) and scheduled time to come out to replace the boards- and didn't charge us a dime for the hassle. He is committed to customer satisfaction and if he hadn't already done all the floors in our house, we'd have him back again in a heartbeat!

Another great experience with Alex & his crew. We hired him to remove carpet & install hardwoods in our master bedroom & couldn't be more pleased. Will be calling him back when we decide to do the same in our other bedrooms.

Alex Smith is a true professional - from the estimate to the completion and follow up after the job is completed.  From first contact with Alex, he was straight forward and professional and came out to give an estimate based on my availability.  I cannot think of a time that it took Alex more than 10 minutes to either respond to an email or return a phone call - his responsiveness sets the standard for the highest customer service ? service I have not seen from a provider in a long time.  My wife and I relied on Alex to guide us on the refinishing process, type of stain, type of wood for the new flooring - all the way to the color of the shoe molding.  We could always count on Alex to give us a professional opinion but ultimately leave the decision up to us.  Alex kept in constant communication with us throughout the job, he and his crew worked overtime each day to complete the job timely and after the job was completed, you never would have known he was there other than the beautiful craftsmanship of the floors - there was no mess.  Alex even painted the shoe molding for us so we didn?t have to paint it once it was installed.  The refinished floors look brand new and the newly installed floors look awesome - we could not be happier with the quality of work done by Alex.  Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring is a small business focused on quality and customer service - two things you don?t always get with larger organizations.  I would trust Alex and his crew for future projects, and I hope you will too.

From my first phone contact I found Alex to be a no nonsense professional. He took the time to explain my options in detail, he had finish samples for stain, he assisted in clearing the room. The process started on a Tuesday with Alex delivering the wood that had to acclimate to our home before installation. On Wednesday he removed the carpet and prepped the room. On Friday he and his assistant , installed, sanded and stained the new floor. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the next week he applied sealer. He was easy going and I would highly recommend using him.

Refinishing the floors was less stressful than anticipated. The work was done quickly and very cleanly. And the floors look beautiful. We're planning to contact them again to have the living room and dining floors refinished.

Alex was punctual for the estimate, had samples, and was able to match the existing floors in our house to finish out installing hardwoods in the main part of the house.  He had the best price, and was able to do exactly what we wanted.
The materials were ordered and arrived very quickly, and he was able to start and finish ahead of schedule.
He and his crew were a pleasure to work with. 
When we decide to install hardwoods in our bedrooms, Alex will be the one we call.
