Did a good job left area clean.

Mike was referred by another contractor.  I called him and he agreed to come inspect our roof.  We set up a two-day window when he would stop by after calling first because I wanted to be at home.  I hadn't hear from him at the end of the second day so I called him.  He apologized for forgetting (didn't make his appt. book) but promised to come the next day.  Sure enough, he called the next morning and came right over.  He and his employee inspected the roof, caulked around pipes and nail heads on ridge vents, and caulked a few cracked shingles.  The cost was very reasonable.  Good news!  The roof should last at least another year.  We talked about what brand shingles he used and could he match the existing color.  He showed me a sample book and yes, they had the color I wanted.  He gave me the sample book!  He answered my questions professionally.  I told him I would contact him in Fall 2016 about laying a new roof.

It went very well. When the roofer arrived, they discovered quite a bit of rotting wood underneath the current roof. So the price was more than the original estimate since they were not expecting to find this, but all in the price was still extremely reasonable and the work was excellent. The guys worked hard all day to get it finished in one day and returned the following day to remove the rubbish.

I found him in the yellow pages. They are about 30-45 minutes away. He called my cell phone on Friday morning and said he was going to the house to measure for the roof. I was already at work, he just called me back, and left the estimate. I didn't get the chance to ask questions. He just came out as I had called the day before, it was on a weekday, he just assumed I was off on weekdays, and just came out. He gets average ratings. My mom and sister will have to decide who is going to get the job. I just get the estimates.
