Independent Movers

Bob and I agreed to a $95/hour rate for 3 men and a truck. He moved us on a Sunday as he had another job in which he already had a truck so it would be no additional costs for a Sunday move. The day of the actual move, I was in Florida so my wife had to oversee things. The guys moved everything fine. The total time was roughly 3 hours (no more). When it came time to pay, Bob was not available and his men told my wife that the move was going to cost $375 because of the move being on a Sunday. She told them that this was not the agreement at which point they said they'd settle for $350 - still, $50 more than what I agreed to with Bob. I spoke to Bob a couple times and he said that he did not want any ill will so he would (reluctantly) give us $50 back. I waited a couple weeks so I called him several times to see what the problem was. When I finally got him, he said that we was busy and that he would give me the money back. It's been a couple weeks and I still have not seen this money and it this point have given up hope. I would strongly NOT recommend this guy to anyone. Their business card has no address and just lists the owners names. Just an update since I wrote the above paragraph. I recently received the money less $25 for harassment charges. I have never seen anything so ridiculous. This guy simply did not return calls and calls it harassment when someone follows up with him. I was never rude and simply wanted to know when he was going to honor his promise to return my money.
