Great to work with. Kept me informed along the way. Was flexible when the weather didn’t cooperate. Did the job he said he would and it looks great.

He was very professional. He gave me an estimate within 24 hrs. After I agreed to the estimate he scheduled my work for the following week. He kept me informed regarding how the work was going. He did a beautiful job on my pastures.

Concrete Patios, Walks & Steps Installation
Communication is not there. Several emails and phone calls to get a response. We had him do stamped concrete which turned out nice so we hired again to pour concrete around pool. That was not nice at all, very rough to walk on and just looked sloppy. He was to finish up some other things in the yard and just stopped coming one day and stopped responding to emails and phone calls. He left a bunch of leftover materials in the yard and didnÂ’t fix the yard from machines brought into yard.

Concrete Patios, Walks & Steps Installation
I hired Daley Stone and concrete to replace a 14x14 ft concrete patio in my back yard. The old patio was holding water at a couple of spots and the water was pooling against the house. Daley's crew tore up the old patio and they poured new concrete. The crew worked very hard. But the new patio also holds water (same spots; though less water than in the original patio). Within 6 months the new patio had settled and cracked. I contacted the owner of the company and he did not respond. Waste of money. I will have to redo this soon.

BEWARE! Let me preface this by stating I am not disgruntled, an angry person nor do I typically write reviews. Nor am I anywhere near being anal retentive. However, I would be remiss if I did not provide information for my fellow consumer regarding the quality, character, and general overall experience with this contractor. I will STRONGLY caution you NOT to consider this contractor. Please know this review is honest and fair. I only wish I could include photos. I see in other reviews, the owner responded with counterpoints. Any retort from the contractor for this review should be dismissed as rubbish trust me. 1. Poor craftsmanship, no care for attention to detail, took money, tucked tail and ran, no response to concerns BEWARE!!!!!! 2. Awful high labor and material cost for sheet replacement separate from quote (we knew there would be additional cost though. 3. Seriously all fours main windows were not reset correctly 1/4 to ½ gaps in sill, nails and insulation sticking through jambs on inside of house, actual breakage in the plastic framing, and three of the four are no longer functioning properly seriously! 4. Though we were told we could choose any stone veneer offered, later in the game owner called me to tell me that the stone we picked would cost more because it still had to be no way. Miraculously, they had enough in stock. Good news, there will be no additional cost. Shady! 5. After stone install, windows are covered with concrete residue that will not come off with pressure washer will have to scrape each window myself though guaranteed cleanup after job 6. About ½ way up, I noticed the sample stone is not what appeared to be installed. Was told it was the way they were cut (veneers) by Rolling Rock. It was all one color with no variation (gray, gray gray). Our sample had tans, rusts and some mauve as well. No virgin stone faces being set. Quality control issue. Owner responded quickly to complaint, came out early in the AM, negotiated fix. Initial fix though their QC issue would, what do you know, cost more money. I kept hearing about labor costs and material costs. Look, bottom line, the owner did not have proper oversight of QC and let a bland looking, not representative of the agreed upon sample be installed on our home. I mean come on, it just didn't even look good. He admitted that as we stood there. I'm not a jerk but this is the front of our home and VERY expensive! Since we were having a matching mailbox installed as well, I negotiated a deal on that instead and received a guarantee he would ensure variations would be integrated. 7. A number of the stones were poorly cut and installed. No kidding throughout the first 8-10 feet of stone there were MANY areas where small rock size stone chips (scraps) were wedged into misshapen gaps. It was pathetic. Complained and had some fixed but some still remained 8. This was stack stone which generally runs parallel to the ground. Nope, not in one of the large secti

"In response to this latest review we are very saddened that this homeowner did not get a fully satisfactory result from our work but lets take a minute to clear the air here... This specific customer was in a position that they needed to have this work performed not by choice but by necessity. So they had a heightened level of concern from the beginning. The facade of their home had failed from several previous repairs made by other contractors and we were given the job to fix those poor repairs. We met with the homeowners on several occasions, drew up contracts, and completed that scope of work There were additional charges involved when rot"

Pat Daley and his team were wonderful. The entire process was handled in a friendly yet professional manner and with great communications. The work itself exceeded our expectations. Pat really listened to my concerns and was able to redesign our walkway so that the connection to our wheelchair ramp is perfect and my husband is now able to access the house independently. We HIGHLY recommend this excellent company!

Concrete Patios, Walks & Steps Installation
We made 2 mistakes - choosing a bid that was much lower than all the others and paying the final balance even though we had reservations about the final product. We initially thought the finish didn't look right to us because we weren't expecting a float finish and weren't familiar with it (the contract said only that the patio would have a slip resistant finish and we didn't know to ask exactly what that meant or whether there were different options, such as broom finish). Up to that point the owner, Pat Daley, seemed like a decent guy and was easy to work with so we paid the bill the day they finished, believing that if we had any concerns about the finish after living with it for a few days he would come back and address them. We did quickly come to realize the issue was not the type of finish technique used, but rather sloppy execution of the float finish and the stamped border work. After the concrete dried we identified an area that slopes toward the house, discolorations, very uneven texture (lumps, bumps, ridges), and cracking in the stamped area. We also researched float finishes and compared the work to photos of properly done work. (Another contractor has since informed us the concrete was too wet when the finish was applied.) When we contacted the owner a few days after the job was done he said he'd come back the next day, but then canceled on us and has not responded to any of our attempts to contact him since then. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for.

Concrete Patios, Walks & Steps Installation
Preformed the work, which was steps, landing and sidewalk sections. Had to come back multiple times to repair the project. Poor workmanship on the sidewalk (one section of which their truck broke), had to replace it all....Top of steps needed concrete replaced with a wooden strip to mesh with the front porch, a section of the bottom steps has separated and I've had to use epoxy to fill....the landing had the surface started to crumble....they say it was salt....I say it was the landing did not have the proper pitch and water lays there.......they patched it with another color concrete. It took over a year for them to make it right (almost). If I had to do it over, would have hired someone else.

Concrete Patios, Walks & Steps Installation
I contracted them to remove an old set of steps and patio platform and replace it. This was done in July 2013. The next Spring I contacted them and told them that various parts were crumbling and the top of the steps and patio were delaminating. The entire summer of 2014 I worked with them to resolve it. Their explaination, salt. I used a total of 3# of salt on the entire project for the winter. Eventually the replace 2 sections of sidewalk that looked like they were poured without forms. Then the patched the low parts of the patio (with a patch totally different colors than the concrete). Eventually they asked me "What will it take for you to get off our back's?). They promised to seal the top of the patio and stairs before the winter, which they did not do. The stairs now have a wide crack half way up, creating two sections. I would NOT recommend them. I will be glad to supply photos backing this review up.

Buyer beware. Unethical contractor. Tried to charge us for work never performed and then abandoned the job when he was caught. Very poor craftsmanship. Stone was literally falling off the house after installation, and then he had the audacity to claim we tried to sabotage his work. You won't get what you paid for, and you will likely need to hire another mason to complete his shoddy work.
Response from Granite Hill Concrete & Site, LLC

"Review Readers Beware... This homeowner contracted us to perform a defined amount of work, which we did, and completed. The job was inspected, cleaned, and complete. The homeowner refused to pay the final amount due. Please read our other reviews. Our track record is exemplary. Obviously we do not and cannot be expected to work for free..."

Retaining Wall Installation
Very personable!!! However, left some debris behind. Did not remove all railroad ties because when I went to put my birdhouse back into ground, I tried digging the hole and ran right into a railroad tie!!! Ground sunk on both levels enough that I had to have someone come in with 6 yards of dirt to fill in !! Do not believe It was worth what I paid for it !!! Should have got more estimates. Also had to finish off both ends myself !!!
