When my husband and I found a home we wanted to purchase, we called Joe Amati to do an inspection. Joe was not only friendly and professional, he was extremely knowledgeable and taught us what to look for during each step of the process. It was a true learning experience and we were very grateful that he shared his insight with us.
Joe promised that he would have a full report of our inspection by day's end, and he delivered! We received a very thorough accounting for each and any issue he addressed in the home - including pictures! This report greatly helped us and our realtor in negotiating a fair price for the home as well.

Joe Amati did an excellent job. He pointed out and explained every problem to us as well as the good things (like the high-quality electrical panel in the basement etc), was very patient with our questions and requests for clarifications with things we didn't understand, and he just overall came across as utterly competent, professional and honest.
Joe is the first and only home inspector we would use if and when we buy our next home.
(In fact, Joe inspected 2 houses for us - and we passed on the first one due to the numerous problems that Joe uncovered and which the seller was unwilling to fix or give adequate discount off the sales price for. Joe gave us a discount on the price of the 2nd inspection. Joe saved us not only headaches had we bought the first house w/all the problems, but money too!)
