"We are sorry that you are not satisfied; however, we wish you would have contacted us directly to discuss concerns with us prior to posting a review over a year later. We told you our schedule was quite full when you first contacted us. The job was completed within the first half of October which is an ideal planting time. However, lasts winter was the second severe winter in a row resulting in extreme cold and some corresponding plant loss. We recall that the job did not flow well- there were changes in decision points which resulted in loss of momentum and a resulting need to track down materials. At times, the dog was disruptive which sometimes impeded communication. You are correct- our Angie's List reviews tend to be more geared towards hardscape. We have done hundreds of landscape installation jobs in 21 years, many of them before the years of online reviews. Most of our long time clients do not do reviews. We are sorry you are not satisfied, but we have come to the conclusion after 20+ years that despite a vast majority of satisfied clients over the years, we are never going to please everyone. Sometimes jobs just do not "gel" despite good intentions."

Excellent. The original work in 2008 was perfection. He identified and assesses the concerns in a timely fashion and sets to task. The final product and workmanship is unparalleled. Our hardscape covers the area under the pergola and encircles the deck area.

They did a good job cutting the lawn. However, for the price, I expected a more professional trim and a longer time cutting and trimming to look better than it did.
We have a half an acre of land and, of course, with the house and garage, much less than that. .
Therefore, I feel for the time spent their price was much too high. We have a neighbor who has three acres and the price they paid their mower for cutting was only $75. So I feel the price should have been only $40-$50.
They were businesslike and cut our lawn the week after we called. We appreciated that.

In the ideal situation, we would have provided you the price in advance, but we were exceptionally busy and opted to work you into our spring schedule as you seemed like you really needed someone to mow. When Shawn and the crew arrived, you insisted that they be thorough and not allow any grass to lay around. As a result, they mowed the property several times and blew grass with the blower. Quite honestly, for the amount of work involved and the fact that this was your first mowing for the season, we felt that we provided you a good value for the dollar. We have a number of mowing clients who have been with us for over 15 years and they stay with us for the reliability and value we provide over a period of time. In a typical spring, we mow and trim our own property of nearly 2 acres 2-3 times per week to keep it looking to our liking. We are aware of how quickly things can grow in the spring. Again, we are sorry our one-time mowing service did not meet your expectations, but we stand behind our work. We feel we provide quality, value, and reliability but it is not possible to please everyone, despite our intrinsic desire to do so. It is simply not feasible in today's business climate, and I am still trying to come to terms with this. Jeanna Haring"

We spent several weeks discussing paver designs and colors, went to the paver supplier and looked at real life examples and came up with a plan. We had several revisions due to the design and budget requirements. Once everything was settled, a contract was signed , work started within two weeks. The project took about eight days to complete. I gave Shawn license to work with the paver design, based on his experience, and was pleased with the result.
I found the work crew to be entirely professional and the work quality to be excellent. Shawn and his crew kept me updated on the project status, they showed up when they said the would and worked all day. They cleaned up after themselves and left then work site clean everyday. Several times throughout the project, I received telephone calls checking on my overall satisfaction.
I highly recommend this business. I believe Shawn and his crew take pride in doing a good job.

We have had Shawn's crew mow our lawn during a vacation and they did a nice job. Since they have completed the landscaping, they have come back and mowed for us when I have not been able to do it myself.

"Hello, [member name removed]. We are very sorry that you are not happy. We are incredibly upset about this. We take our customer service very seriously, and think our personal service is one of our strong points. We are a small mom and pop in Dillsburg and this is our 19 th year in business. We have an active and lovely child who attends Dillsburg Elementary. I personally accept messages and talk to clients and prospects. I think I do a pretty good job, but occasionally I may drop the ball through the juggling of my business and parenting responsibilities. When I talk to a new prospect, I write the name down in my log and then I write a sheet up for my "Jobs to Look at File" if there is mutual interest in the scheduling of an estimate. I have reviewed my log, as well as my files, and I do not have a record of talking to you. This does not mean we didn't talk. I talk to many people each week, and my memory is not as good as it used to be. However, the unusual thing is that we do not do much work in Hanover- actually it is out of our service area for the mot part- so I think I would have remembered the conversation had I known this about you. I am wondering if perhaps you have us confused with another landscape company. There are others with similar names. If not, and we did not reach back out to you, I hope you will give us the opportunity to make things right with you and improve our internal processes so this doesn't happen again. I know I always tell folks to please contract us again if they do not hear from us, as things are very busy for us and since we run the business from our home. Occasionally, voice-mail messages are lost as it is the same phone number that rings in our house. I think if you would take a look at the other Angie's List reviews as well as the testimonials on our web-site, or if you were to call our references from our extensive reference list, many of whom we have worked for over 10 years, I think you'll see the problem you experienced is unusual for us. I am hoping that perhaps we could talk this through, via phone or e-mail to get to the bottom of this to make you happier and to be sure that if we didn't get back to you, that we improve our tracking of leads so that this doesn't happen to anyone again. I would like some more detail on the communication you had to us- whether it was via e-mail or phone and what the response back to you was. 97% of the communications are made by me, Jeanna Haring, while maybe 3% are made by my husband, Shawn Haring. I know once we actually get to the point in the point that we meet with some one face to face, we rarely forget them. Again, my sincerest apologies.
