JG Electrical's performance was excellent. Canned lights were installed. The electricians covered the floor and other areas to protect floors and other areas. They wore protective covers over their shoes. The end result is beautiful; it reflects the careful planning of the electricians, who measured the room and provided a plan for the lighting that yielded maximum light. Once the job was completed, the electricians cleaned the area thoroughly. Outstanding, outstanding, outstanding work. I was so pleased that I will distribute business cards to my neighbors.

James is an excellent communicator with the knowledge and experience I was looking for to start fixing the older wiring and replacing light fixtures in our home. He was great in helping us figure out exactly what we needed even when we didn’t know what that was. I love the way his bids are placed per light, none of the add ons when they need to change this or that when they start work. His estimate process was what impressed me the most. It was the most detailed estimate I have ever been through. Between picking out the lights and figuring out the lumens you want to him explaining why he uses the products to keep your house safe and in code. He never once talked down to me, explaining things as he went and answering all my questions. He teaches you as he explains things, which helped me better explain what we wanted it to look like when he was done. He replaced three old inside lights with LED lights and it was amazing the difference there was. Our house had no outside lights and was very dark. He helped us pick out the correct lights for the best coverage area. We also had him change out four old carriage lights. He had us order those based on the criteria of what was best for our needs. Motion lights were placed exactly where they needed to go for the best effect within our fenced in yard. His work was great and he kept the work sights neat and clean as he did them. Our neighbors have all commented on how good the house looks now with the outside lighting. We now have a well lit property that adds immensely to the beauty, safety and curb appeal. James will be back this summer to start finishing the rest of the lighting. I am sorry that I can’t post pictures, they really show the change to the house.

Wired smoke alarms

Excellent. James replaced the 4 kitchen indoor flood lights with 7 LED flat lights. The kitchen lights up like a show room now. He found a short circuit that was the cause of the mystery outage and fixed it. It was actually burning at the time, but because it was embedded in the wall behind the refrigerator no one smelled the smoke until he exposed the connection. He saved our house from burning down! Then he replaced our old (1960's) main panel with a new one, and replaced the outside electric connection with the electric company from the street, and grounded it. It is now water proof. Everything works now, and we are so pleased with the job he did. I highly recommend JG Electric to anyone.

Great. Fair price and nice work. What I wanted to do, unknowingly to me, wasn't to code but he showed me a way for it to work for me and meet code, all for a good price. When he moved my outlet, he filled the hole that created with nice drywall work! Quick, high quality and just a nice guy!

Went well overall

Very professional, upfront about pricing and the work that was being done. Fixed a dead short and updated some outlets. Provided a list of recommended fixes that will increase the safety of my house which I will definitely be looking to have done.

Great Job, on time, good price, very pleasant to work with, installed new outlet were one never existed, ran new wire to circuit box, fixed a discovered electrical issue.

This electrician, and owner of the company, was very down to earth. He was extremely helpful and gave me a good understanding of what needed to be done by explaining what he was doing. I am a new home owner of a fairly old home, so James even checked out other areas where things could be updated. I appreciate his work and recommendations.
