As we went through the house and witnessed areas of leakage, Dave and Stan photographed what they saw, discussed possible causes, and suggested remedies. This was exactly what I hoped for. I did not want a firm that was also in the business of correcting problems since this might create a conflict of interest. Energy Auditors only does energy audits. These guys are real pros. They did not hesitate to look into tight crawlspaces or gain access to problem areas to pinpoint the cause whenever possible. After touring the house with the exhaust fan running, we sat down and reviewed the results. They provided some printed information illustrating ways to correct the problems we found. The total charge for this service is $600, but our electrical provider, PPL, offers a $250 rebate. Stan filled out the rebate paperwork so that they would get the rebate directly, thereby only charging me the difference of $350. Stan had taken a lot of notes which will be incorporated into a written report to be sent by e-mail. If you want a solid appraisal of your energy situation, these are the guys to do it.
"Thank you very kindly for your thorough review. We do try very hard to address all of your concerns, as well as addressing all other findings during the audit. Our many years of experience in performing home repairs and improvements proves very worthwhile in our audit work. We appreciate that you have chosen to share your review with your neighbors. We wish you good success in your energy and comfort improvements."
"Thank you for taking the time to review us. We do make every effort to provide straightforward and practical advice to get you on the road to energy efficiency."
Stan’s report prioritized the improvements we can make. We found the report to be very helpful as we discussed phase one of our home energy improvement project with a contractor who specializes in this kind of work.
During the course of the audit and subsequent report, Stan made himself available for questions about his findings and his recommendations. Now that we have completed our first phase of improvements, I plan to discuss the results with Stan to confirm our next steps.
"Thank you [Member name removed] for your review. It is good to know that you have followed through with the first phase of your recommended improvements, and it was good to communicate with you subsequently on the next phase recommendations. Feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns."
"Thank you Member! It was a pleasure working with you."
"Thank you Member! It was a pleasure working with you. The categories aren't exactly accurate for the work that we perform; we are energy auditors and raters, and part of the assessment process is to look for water intrusion and its causes."
"Thank you for the very nice report Member! It was a pleasure working with you. We hope that you were able to get the issues that we identified corrected effectively."
