The salesman from Lowe's showed a sample of the window I was going to purchase.  (This is a plus).  When the salesman explained the windows he made opening, closing and removing the window easy.  I asked for screens that would allow me to put in an air conditioner.  When the contractor was about to leave after the job was completed he removed the screen to put in the air conditioner.  At the end of the season I removed the air conditioner and made an attempt to put in the screen.  I could not do this, put the screen back.  When my brother came to visit he couldn't figure it out.  I called Lowe's and they sent someone over to put the screen back.  The original contractor struggled to put the screen back.  Within a month I noticed the screens had small holes in the screens. I don't have small children.  I called Lowe's and demanded to have the screens replaced.  This seemed to take forever.  This year 2013 the windows are out of warranty.  I removed the window to remove the screen so that I could put the air conditioner in the window.  I couldn't get the window back in and now the window will not stay opened.  I called Lowe's and explained this.  They filed a claim against the manufacturer of the company.  This is now in research.  In another few days the temperature is going to 91 degrees with high humidity.  I don't want to share my review at this time.
I want to at least give Lowe's enough time to see if they make good of this bad situation.  Once this is completed I will allow Angie's list to share my review.

Door: 

• Reliable entry door by Masonite with two sidelites. 
• Architectural Glass Frame.

Door issues:



Did not seal properly.



Inside and outside edges of the sidelite frames were rough cut, not sanded to a smooth surface.



Minor damage to the inside edges of the door do to shipping straps.







Installation issues:



Trim was not replaced properly.  After the third attempt to get it right, I decided to finish it myself.



Hardware installation was sloppy.  Plates and screws were not set straight.



Caulking was sloppy.  Some runs of caulking were 1/2" away from the corners to be sealed.  I removed it and did it myself.







Contractor was very pleasant and anxious to please.  But, the quality of finish work just was not there.

The door I selected was a higher priced door. It was a Pella door. They said if there were any problems they would come back and take care of it. Their price and workmanship were good. I would use them in the future.
