The little work that was completed is done is substandard.  He replaced the porch and supports but failed to put enough supports.   The boards for porch floor framing have too much space between.  The decking sags in the center for the entire width of the porch, which is visually obvious.  As we step on the porch it is springy.  He never added steps railing or lattice according to our written agreement.  Several parts of the project which he managed to do need to be redone. The composite decking is laid crooked leaving an awkward angle on one side.  There is damage to the overhang.  The remainder of the project is not only unfinished, he never attempted to finish.  He did not replace railings, steps or enclose new porch with lattice.  He was supposed to haul debris away. We have since had to pay someone $180 else to remove the debris after Dummore Borough called us because neighbors were complaining. The only thing he removed from the job-site was our porch pillars.  He did this without our permission. We did not want them replaced.  They were in perfect condition.  He quickly substituted our beautiful large historical pillars for 4" x 4" fence posts.  He sold our original posts to a renovation supply. He took our payments which totaled $3700 and abandoned the job.  We have the contract in his hand writing signed and dated by him.  We have our paid-to-him-checks which total $3700, cashed by him with his signature, and his Driver License number.  (PA 22 519 635)  He has ignored all of our attempts to contact him. Through Dunmore police, we have filed a complaint against him for "theft of funds" and for "not performing a contracted service".  We have a handicapped family member, our mother, who cannot come and go without steps.  We need some money back from this man so that we can hire someone else to fix what he started and complete the job. We have had to contact the Attorney General Bureau of Consumer Affairs, file a police report, and now we are going to take him to court.
