+ 0 moreIt took a while to coordinate a time to perform the work but when we did they finished the job over several days with no interruptions. They both worked hard and cleaned their workspace every day. Both Tommy and John were very polite and explained anything I had questions with. They even got everything even and level which is no small feat given how old this porch is. I had to give them a and quot;Band quot; on price because they were the most expensive of all our bids but after a lot of experience with other contractors I felt they would do the best job and I was not wrong. I would have no problem recommending them.
Description of Work: We had a back porch corner that was literally sinking in the ground. After many years a leaking gutter had rotted out much of the wood and a footer had dropped several inches compared to the other side of the porch. Tommy and helper John did a great job of digging and pouring new footers and replacing all the rotted wood. They also installed a new,larger gutter to carry the water away so it wouldn't pour out at the base of the porch.

Description of Work: We have had Tom do multiple projects in our home. First we needed him to fit modern appliances into a kitchen renovated about 15 years ago. In my opinion this required a lot more skill than just fitting new cabinets and appliances together. Tom also replaced all of the doors on our second floor and a large closet to match those original to the home. This also required expertise in details we would typically have overlooked. Tom has given us practical advise and we feel comfortable with his suggestions and work. I think these are all pretty small projects for Tom, but he has never implied this. We have other friends who have been equally thrilled with Tom's work and professionalism. We plan to have Tom help us finish our basement in the near future.

+ 4 moreWe think the world of them. We can't say enough good things. He was so particular about every aspect of the job. They cleaned up every day. They went above and beyond each time for everything. He is an all around contractor that is really meticulous. The work was better than we hoped for. They are excellent and they exceeded our expectations. Every seam is matched. They took so much time making sure that the molding was correct and there weren't any part in the walls that were an issue. They were so meticulous. We didn't get any other bids. They were very professional. We plan to use them in the very near future.
Description of Work: We used TJA Construction a year ago to do work. They put in a lot of trim for 12 windows. They put in molding. They patched drywall in a number of places. They fixed a lot of contractor issues that were still in our house. They worked on the deck that needed repair. He noticed a problem on our floor that had been bugging me and he fixed that too. They did all kinds of contractor things in our home. He was here a month ago to come up with a bid for some additional work. It is for some floors and updating the kitchen. He is going to replace some siding.

+ -1 moreIn two and one-half months Tom Alleva completely renovated our home, including the installation of a new kitchen and two baths. He was extremely easy to work with and did a beautiful job with the renovation. He oversaw all the work of the sub-contractors (electricity, plumbing, hardwood installers, etc) and kept everyone on schedule. Tom is a very conscientious professional and worked long and hard to produce enviable results. He did a beautiful job installing the glass tiles in the kitchen and in both baths and was creative in his design of arched doorways between the living room, dining room and kitchen. We would definitely hire Tom again if we needed to have construction work done and would gladly recommend him to others.
