Mr. Electric Of Lancaster County

I had a federal pacific panel replaced. The technician and work were professional. However, I explained to the technician that I lost power in a large section of wall. After the job was complete, I found I still didn’t have power in the wall. Now I’m being told it is a separate job and cost. An explanation before having the work done about it being a separate problem and needing additional work would have been very helpful. All I’m told now is they can come out for a service call which is $212 plus whatever the issue is. This was a miscommunication error on Mr. Electrics side. I informed the tech about the problem and there was no testing on the wall afterwards. Very disappointed.

Speedy and great job!

Mr. James Good came to my home to replace a florescent light fixture which was of a size for which bulbs are no longer made. I'm unable to evaluate all technical aspects of his work, but at least when he was finished the new fixture and the light bulb he put in it worked and have continued to work. Mr. Good is a "perfect" gentleman in his appearance, conversation, and actions. I would wish him to return to my home, should I ever need such service again. mm Except if he'd sung an opera aria for me -- I jest -- I could not have asked for more.

I generally really dislike leaving feedback. I find myself honest to a fault because I believe it's a responsibility to leave honest, accurate feedback for potential other customers. Then I go through this process of "am I being too nit-picky", "am I being overly sensitive", etc, and finally I don't leave the review because if it isn't good, will it hurt the business, or just as bad, reviews that say "they were great" isn't helpful at all....and so I buckle under the pressure of my own assessment. I say all that here to tell you I have ZERO issues writing this review right now. I reached out to Mr. Electric because a project that was supposed to start in August was bumped up on the schedule, and as always, I procrastinated getting someone to come out and move an electrical box and some conduit. I reached out to Mr. Electric on a Thursday, and the following Monday was promised someone (Travis M from Mr Electric) would come out and give us a quote on the work. Travis showed up right on time, and only was he super-flexible with whatever work I asked for (added in 2 outside electrical boxes besides the electrical box reconfiguration and move), they gave me a more than reasonable quote for the work and told me they could get the work done right then and there. My wife and I agreed, and the final result was phenomenal. Travis M and also Andrew from Mr. E jumped right in, and did a superb, professional job in a matter of a couple of hours. I would be remiss if I didn't say that not only was their work professional, their attitude and conduct was professional beyond reproach. To be fully honest, they looked and acted the part of professional electricians from a professional company. These 2 gentlemen represented Mr. Electric in a fully excellent way, and they will be my go-to for future projects. Perfect 10 out of a possible 5 stars!

Our experience with Mr. Electric of Lancaster was excellent. They were prompt, professional, the work was well done and the cost was reasonable. Not only would I would hire them again, I would be confident referring others to them knowing they would be in good hands.

Brandon was very professional and completed this project in 35-40 minutes. He had me check each light to see if it was completed properly.

EXCELLENT Jim was courteous, friendly, and helpful in deciding height of my chandeliers, as well as very efficient. I have more work for him in the near future!.

Professionally done

I can't say enough great things about Mr. Electric. A gentleman came out to give me a quote and discuss all the options with me. Very punctual and courteous. Another gentleman came to do the work, and he was just as professional and delightful to deal with. The work was quality and exactly as promised. They even saved me some money by cutting down on the number I needed.

The technician showed up timely.  He worked quickly to install the units we requested.  We had 4 sets of lights installed in two different segments of our basement.
The work was done within about 3 hours.  
My husband is happy with how fast and professional the technician was.  
The price was a little salty but that was our choice to spend the money because we just didn't have the time to do it ourselves.  
We are happy with the service and would recommended it for people that are similarly situated.  
I would call them again for future work.

It worked out excellent!  They did a very good job.

I decided it was time to replace the bathroom fan in our bathroom. I thought I could do it myself. I was able to remove the old bathroom fan, but not without damaging some of the drywall. I purchased a new bathroom fan, which was bigger than the old one, from Lowes. I quickly found out that this was beyond my capabilities. The wiring was to complex for me to figure out (the new fan had six or seven electrical connections and the electrical wire in the house only had four). After struggling in a cramped space above the bathroom for about two hours (we live in a bi-level home), I threw in the towel.

I went onto Angie's List to find an electrician and came across two that got good ratings. I forget who the first one was, but I was able to talk to a receptionist at Mr. Electric and they said they'd have a technician contact me to determine when the work could be done. I received a call from the technician within an hour or two. I was extremely happy when they told me they could come over the next day to perform the work! They said they'd be over around 1 pm the following day and I was told they would call me before they were headed over.

The following day I got a phone call telling me they'd be over around 11:30 in the morning. Perfect! James Good arrived promptly at 11:30. Prior to entering the house, he donned booties to cover his shoes. It seemed automatic. James asked to see the unit and the location of the install. He noticed that the exhaust tube was not secured to the soffit with a vent. It was just directed towards the soffit and sitting on top of it. He informed me that current codes state that the exhaust has to be vented to the outside. I agreed that was what I wanted done. James told me he would write up an estimate and then see if I wanted the work performed. He could have come back with any number, I wasn't about to go back up into our attic!!

He came back in and showed me the estimate of $228.32. I thought that was a little high, considering the old unit had already been removed and the hole for the new unit was already made, but again, I wasn't going to go back into that attic and I wanted a professional to make the electrical hook ups for the new unit.

James went right to work, was extremely polite and professional! He laid a tarp out on the floor in the bathroom to contain and mess that was made. He even ensured that the old switches were the same pattern as the previous unit, that the left switch would work the light and the right switch would work the fan. He pointed out that the lights for the unit were a specialty type, which I was unaware of, and said that he might have some in his van. The ones he had were old and he didn't charge me for them. I had to go out later to purchase new bulbs, but that's on me. James ensured that the unit operated properly and that the vent that he installed worked properly as well.

Overall I was extremely happy with my choice of Mr. Electric and with their technician, James Good! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an electrician!
