They were very professional. Did not try to sell us a new humidifier, but replaced the part that was the problem. We felt that the fee was reasonable and therefore we would have them again. We took advantage of the Angie's List promotional fee of $79.00 for the inspection. That is how we met these folks.
I also was impressed that they noted a problem with our relatively new water heater, and were gracious when we told them that we had a whole house insurance that meant that we needed to use another firm (one recommended/sent by the insurer) to do that work. If I could have chosen them to do the work, I would have.
It's been about a year now, and we have noticed that the dryer hose that they replaced has broken. The dryer hose runs down into the basement, along the wall, and then out of the house. Two pieces of pipe have disconnected from each other, leaving one of the pipes hanging low, and the other is pumping the hot air right into the basement room, and leaving little pieces of dryer lint on the floor. Okay, this can happen - I accept that. I call them and explain what happened and asked for someone to look at it. They say they can come the next day, and that it will be $140 just to come out, and then some flat fee on top of that to do the work.... I asked for a discount because it was their work that had failed. She goes off to ask her manager, and comes back and explains that because there is no warranty they can't give me any sort of discount.
What HORRIBLE customer service. They clearly do not stand by their work and I'm really disappointed.
I will never be using them again.
I was fortunate enough to have 2 plumbers working on both items at the same time. They were very friendly, and provided me with information about my home that I would not have known otherwise simply because they have worked on many homes in the development. I had a 2 hour coupon discount that I used and all the costs were spelled out. When they took a little more time get a tool they needed, they told me not to worry about any extra charges as I pay for the time they are working. (One of the trucks was in the garage so that's why there were 2 guys on site.)
They were very helpful. When we redo our basement, we plan on getting a quote from them to do the work. I highly recommend them as my interactions from the person answering the phone to the plumbers onsite, I found to be trustworthy and honest. I have had no issues with their work. Very friendly and a job well done.
