Rainbow Veterinary Hospital

I went to rainbow about a month ago for my cat because she was vomiting everyday and was not holding down food. I was charged over $600 for an emergency appointment, X-rays, and blood work. The doctor said she had nothing come up on the X-Ray and that she said the blood work came back perfect. She said it was “possibly hairballs” and that I shouldn’t be concerned. I noticed a giant drop in my cats weight over the next few weeks and took her to Bradys Run vet instead. The doctor there immediately felt a tumor on her kidney and did an X-Ray. They found a tumor the size of a lemon on her and she had to be put down within a day because she was starving to death. All in all, do not waste your time or money with those money hungry people at rainbow. I had extremely poor service, was overcharged, and misdiagnosed and sent home with a dying pet they did nothing for.

Rainbow Veterinary Hospital has been our primary care veterinarian for over six years. Presently, they oversee care for three dogs and two cats. Their reception staff is excellent. They are flexible and extremely accommodating. The certified veternarian technicians are very knowledgeable, attentive, and gentle. The doctors are incredible. I have not seen such an exemplary level of care from veternarians. The practice is clean, efficient, caring and a very valuable asset to the area!

I took my cat in to be looked at because he was urinating on the
carpet. He had an infection so the young woman vet gave me some
antibiotics to help. But she also recommended his teeth be pulled which
would have cost me near $600 or so. I was shocked and didn't
understand. She said he had a bad infection in a few of his teeth and
they needed pulled. I had a gut feeling that this wasn't right so I
didn't do it. A few months later I moved out of the area and found a
new vet in Mars. When I went in for my cats checkup I brought up the
idea of pulling his teeth and said another vet suggested there was an
infection. The new vet looked at me a little odd and said and quot;No, I don't
know why they would suggest that. His teeth are a little dirty, but they
don't need pulled.and quot; Oh I about died. I can't believe that a trained
professional would suggest something so horrible and unnecessary. So
needless to say, if I move back into the area again, be assured I WILL
NOT be using their services again.

When the time came for our dear cat to be euthanized, we opted for a vet offering home service rather than transporting him to our regular vet, trying to make it a less traumatizing experience. Dr. Kelleher was wonderful! She explained everything in great detail, answered our questions and calmed our fears. She was kind and compassionate and our dear kitty purred during the entire procedure and passed very peacefully. Dr. Kelleher made this sad time much easier for us to deal with and we would most certainly recommend this choice to anyone finding themselves in need of a dignified passing for their beloved pet.

We have been using them for about 10 years They are very attentive to my animals. She takes care of their needs. They are great with my dogs. The Vet is terrific! She is expensive, but the staff, cleanliness, and and how they greet you, would be an A. I think her prices are high because she has every new machine that comes down the pike, that helps to find out what's wrong with your animal. She is just an A.

I have been using Rainbow for 5 or 6 years now. They will actually come out to the house so I don't have to drag all of my critters in to the vet. All of my animals have been either spayed or neutered. The staff and doctors are absolutely wonderful. You can tell that they care about the animals.

These are wonderful people! They treat animals with compassion and care. I think their prices are super reasonable and like the fact that I don't have to load my dogs into the car for a visit to the vet. This is an awesome service that they provide!
