Workers were very professional and did a great job. The owner was very nice and explained everything well.
The only reason I rated the
company B overall instead of A, is because one part of the job that we were promised has still not been done, and I'm not sure it ever will be, despite assurances from Brian, the owner. We're waiting for the company to put a handle on the grate that covers our well pump, and the cover is difficult for us to lift without a handle on it.
I would still recommend this company for quality work. But don't pay the entire bill until everything has been completed.
All work completed professionally and promptly. Courteous follow-ups.
One slab next to front entry was discolored. Company waited until end of summer to see if discoloration would subside, but it didn't. They then replaced that slab at no charge.
It went well. They had to reschedule once. The clean up and removal of old debris was
good, except for small particles rinsed into the lawn. They were personable an easy to work with.
He gave us a price right then and there. We scheduled the job and he finished just before Thanksgiving. He said 3 days and 3 days it was. Great experience and would use his company again in a heart beat. Woody was the mason and did outstanding; neat work.
I do a lot of work around the house myself and did not want to tackle this project as I wanted it to be as perfect as possible due to the location which is in front of the house. I didn't have to do a thing except speak with Woody during the build to answer custom build questions. Just a really nice experience.
He had torn out half of my patio. He looked it over and quoted $3,000 more to take more concrete and backfill. He told me I can decide or he can leave the job and I could find someone else. I thought it wasn't really worth $3,000 of work so I asked him to explain it to me. He said it is what it is and I could find someone else. I signed it but I let him know I hoped he considered lowering it after the job was completed.
He took out all the extra concrete plus concrete that was in the contract. That all took 5 hours. He did have to bring in backfill of b modified, 12 tons. He also had to dispose of the extra concrete which took a truck into to take that. He had about 8 hours of total labor put into this job.
We had a discussion after the job was completed about the price and he didn't want to talk about it.
He said either send me the money or he'd sue me. The contact said it needed to be payed within 2 days so of course I had to pay it.
