WOW... a contractor who is Reasonably Priced, Reliable, Communicative (stays in touch before, during and after the job) and PLEASANT TO DEAL WITH... this represents Lifetime Concrete. I live out of town and contracted with them (Brian - owner) to have existing porch steps and underlying pavement demolished and replaced for a family member in the Northampton, PA area. I can easily say that my experience with Brian and Jessica (Lifetime Concrete company coordinator who hand held me all the way thru the job) was one of the best "contractor experiences" I have ever had!! Imagine... a contractor who doesn't miss commitments, has no "surprises" and does quality work and who I HIGHLY recommend.

The project took longer (and cost more) than expected. I was hoping that only half the area was in need of repair, however, after the project began, it was clear that the entire area need done. Brian and his crew were professional. Additional work needs to be done on the patio & I plan on using him for that project.

They were very professional, they had to park some equipment in our neighbors driveway and they laid a tarp down. Done in 2 days, would hire again for sure!

They replaced driveway and their guarantee holds no value. The driveway recracked and despite phone calls, emails and in person visits and assurances that they would come and evaluate; they did not. Do not use this company.

Workers were very professional and did a great job.  The owner was very nice and explained everything well.

The only reason I rated the

company B overall instead of A, is because one part of the job that we were promised has still not been done, and I'm not sure it ever will be, despite assurances from Brian, the owner.  We're waiting for the company to put a handle on the grate that covers our well pump, and the cover is difficult for us to lift without a handle on it.

I would still recommend this company for quality work.  But don't pay the entire bill until everything has been completed.

I thought I would need a whole new garage floor (it's the original floor from the 1950's).  However, the contractor noted that cracks ran in two  parallel lines about two feet from the walls and thought it would be possible to just replace those areas.  He was cautious and asked a lot of questions to try to get to the source of the cracks. The garage is a "drive through" with garage doors at front and back.  The ground slopes from the rear and water gets into the garage, even with the back door down.  The contractor suggested putting a small speed bump at the back door to direct water away from the garage.  I also asked his advice about repairing cracks in my patio but he said that anything he did would not improve the appearance and might actually make it worse.  I was impressed with his caution and his creativity in solving my problems.  A pane in a side window broke from the vibration of the jackhammers but they replaced it at no cost.  The work was completed in one day and it looks great!

All work completed professionally and promptly.  Courteous follow-ups.

One slab next to front entry was discolored.  Company waited until end of summer to see if discoloration would subside, but it didn't.  They then replaced that slab at no charge.

It went well. They had to reschedule once. The clean up and removal of old debris was

good, except for small particles rinsed into the lawn. They were personable an easy to work with.

Met Brain at a home show and described our project to him and that we have been trying to get one done for 20 years with no luck. He said no problem and I called him out to the house. He is very easy to work with, had good ideas and pleased my wife which can be difficult for contractors to do.
He gave us a price right then and there. We scheduled the job and he finished just before Thanksgiving. He said 3 days and 3 days it was. Great experience and would use his company again in a heart beat.  Woody was the mason and did outstanding; neat work.
I do a lot of work around the house myself and did not want to tackle this project as I wanted it to be as perfect as possible due to the location which is in front of the house. I didn't have to do a thing except speak with Woody during the build to answer custom build questions. Just a really nice experience.

It was very easy and pleasant to contact the owner and get this job started and that was important because the insurance company was breathing down my neck. The owner came and measured for the railings and had them custom made. When the railings were ready they came on time on the appointed day installed them into the new concrete porch.  They were anchored very well and they looked great. I got compliments from the neighbors on how nice they looked. I would hire them again if ever had any other concrete work because the new railings are evidence of competence and good workmanship.

When he was in the process of demolition of patio he was supposed to removed up to 6 inches, the rest would be extra costs.

He had torn out half of my patio. He looked it over and quoted $3,000 more to take more concrete and backfill. He told me I can decide or he can leave the job and I could find someone else.  I thought it wasn't really worth $3,000 of work so I asked him to explain it to me.  He said it is what it is and I could find someone else.  I signed it but I let him know I hoped he considered lowering it after the job was completed.

He took out all the extra concrete plus concrete that was in the contract.  That all took 5 hours. He did have to bring in backfill of b modified, 12 tons.  He also had to dispose of the extra concrete which took a truck into to take that.  He had about 8 hours of total labor put into this job.

We had a discussion after the job was completed about the price and he didn't want to talk about it.
He said either send me the money or he'd sue me.  The contact said it needed to be payed within 2 days so of course I had to pay it.

In the beginning when I was trying to contact them to do an estimate my phone calls were not answered very promptly. We played a little phone tag.   When an estimate was done; it was a reasonable price.  Due to the lateness in the warm weather season it was about a month and one half until the start of the job. They took care of getting no parking signs to reserve room for their truck and equipment.  They showed up about 10 am and went right to work. Other than a short lunch break they worked until about 3pm. The guys did not seem to mind explaining what they were doing.  At the end of the day they cleaned up the area.  Because the railing was to be custom made it was not installed until three weeks later. Two days before they came to install the railing their office gave us a heads up call. On a Saturday with a light rain they showed up when we were told they would. When they finished they cleaned up as they had before.  The way these men conducted themselves never made me wonder if they knew what they were doing.

Very prompt. They answered all my questions and concern to my satisfactory. They started work a day earlier than anticipated due to unfavorable weather forecast  that would have interrupted the work flow. very satisfied with the work.

In early May, the owner came to my home to provide an estimate. At that time, I was informed that the work could be done around Memorial Day and that the work would take 5 days to complete. Well, the work did not begin until the end of June (we even canceled our vacation so the work could finally begin). The workers who tore down the original stairs covered my front door so it would not be damaged during the demolition....but no one covered it when the concrete was poured. There was quite a mess from the poured concrete on the front door, siding and remaining plants. During the demolition, no one informed me that some of my plants would be removed or damaged. Two of my bushes (rather a distance from the work) were burned as a result of their machinery. When I called to express my concern, the initial comment was that "the bushes were like that before". Not true. The owner then had a colleague who is a landscaper come by to look at these bushes. Of course, the landscaper sided with the contractor and thought that the bushes would come back to life. They still have significant dead spots on them. The pouring of the concrete seemed to go well. But then when I asked about the railings, I was informed that they needed to be ordered and they "might arrive" in two weeks! So, this project that was to take 5 days ended up taking much longer! I even had to call the company on more than one occasion to ask about the status of my railings. Overall, the actual work took 5 days.....just not consecutively! I would have appreciated some more integrity on the part of the owner to be honest about the true time to complete this job. It was finally completed in early August! The final product is very nice....but it was an unfortunate process.

It was very good. I've used him several times. I had several estimates and he was creative and came up with the best solution and the best price. Concrete work, I don't know too many people that do masonry type work.

We are thrilled with the new sidewalk! From the estimate to scheduling to install day to follow up - everything went smoothly and just as planned. All of the staff were great to work with. And the finished project is absolutely wonderful! You know something looks nice when your neighbors stop you to comment on the job!
