I hired Solutions Landscapes do a grading / lawn installation project.  The project involved leveling out some area that had recently been cleared of vegetation and existing landscaping, applying a fresh coat of topsoil, and planting grass.
The job took about two days and when they left it looked like exactly what I had asked for.  There was a heavy rain that night and I woke the next day to see that a substantial amount of the new topsoil had washed away in the storm, along with most of the grass seed and compost.  I spoke to the owner and he agreed to come out and repair the rain damage at my expense.  
They came out and repaired the damage and, once again, the lawn looked good. Then it rained again.  The same soil in the same areas washed away again.
In further discussion with the owner I discovered that the topsoil was installed and never compacted beyond what was done incidentally by the bobcat wheels.  This left areas with topsoil that were very susceptible to being washed away with anything beyond a light rain.
I spoke to the owner again and he refused to offer any assistance.  I asked that they send someone out with a roller to prevent further erosion while I arranged for the damage to be repaired.  He assured me that compacting the soil beyond what the wheels of the bobcat did was unnecessary (there wasn?t even a bobcat present when the ?repair? job was being done).
It?s my opinion that they omitted a critical step of installing a lawn on a slope and the topsoil washed away as a result of it.  We paid what we thought were professionals for an installation and then once again for a repair and are left in worse shape than when they began the job. 
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend doing business with this company due to the critical misstep in the original work and the complete lack of willingness to offer any assistance in correcting the issue.
