ACCURATE TREE EXPERTS

The company had asked for 50% down, which I paid them, to begin removing the old tree. Over the course of a week, they removed the old tree, ground the stump, and dug a hole for the new tree. On the day the stump was ground and the hole was dug, they called me and asked to pay in full. They said they would be back later in the evening to plant the new tree. I was going out so I left them a check for the balance attached to my front door, and when I came back the new tree was never planted and the check was gone. I called and they said that the tree that came in was in bad shape, and they insisted that the nursery order a new one. Well, weeks went by and they came up with various excuses why the couldn't plant the tree. A family emergency, then the owner injured his leg with a chain saw, you name in. Finally, in December (the hole was dug in late August), they insisted the nursery was delivering and planting the tree themselves on Tuesday, 12/11. They claimed that they had already paid for the tree, and it came in back in September and was waiting to be planted. Well, I decided to verify the story. I went to the nursery to see the tree, and they told me they had no tree reserved for me or Accurate Tree, and that they didn't do business with the guy because he passed bad checks. I called Accurate and asked them to explain, and they said the nursery was mistaken. When I called the nursery back they said the onwer, Brent Nugent, had just called then for the first time ever asking about a tree. That's when I realized Accurate was lying to me the whole time. I asked for my money back on 12/12, and have not heard from them since. I have a lawsuit pending, however, the court is having trouble serving them since they have about four addresses listed on the internet. Stay away! The guy appears cheap but he is a total crook.
