ABSTRACT OVERHEAD DOOR CO

It took awhile until the doors came in. The guys that came out were very professional. The one door had some damage on the inside panel which they would replace. It was so cold out the caulk was freezing so they would be back with the replacement section of door and caulk it then. After a few weeks they came back and replaced the damaged section of the door but forgot to do the caulk. After the replacement the door was making so much noise I called them back. They sent someone to check it out and said they would schedule the repair. I called a few times and they said they put me on the schedule. After a few calls I asked to speak with the owner. The following morning they called back and said they would be out shortly. Yah!,, fixed.

The service was pricey, but that was because it was done on an emergency basis on a weekend. And the company was very clear about their rates ahead of time. The technician arrived shortly after we called for service and did the job in less than the estimated time. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. I would definitely use them again (though I would hope not to need service on a weekend!).

Very poor. I received several bids on my highly customized garage door installation and I selected Abstract. Before they ordered the doors, I asked Abstract more detailed questions to confirm that they could effectively do the job and they understood the requirements. I quickly became nervous when they returned to my house to redo the measurements, the price jumped from $4500 to $5200 without a change in the scope of the work, and Abstract could no longer assure me that they could do the installation without damaging my house. I told Abstract that I didn't want them to perform the services any longer and wanted a full refund of my 50% deposit. Abstract instead charged me $150 for their time involved with my estimate/questions. I disputed this charge, then Abstract held my $2300 deposit "hostage" until I finally agreed to the $150 "service" fee.

They were very good but you can tell where they fixed it from the inside. They were very professional and clean. I don't know if I would use them again.

They came out within 1-1 1/2 hrs. from the time I called. They charge for a minimum of 2 hrs. of labor, at $75.00/hr, so I paid for 2 hrs. of work, but they were only there 1/2 hr. Work was done well though with no complaints.

I called Abstract at 11:30 AM and received a return call in 20 minutes stating that someone would be out within the next two hours. Before 2pm two representative were here and the frame, door, and opener were repaired. This company was extremely pleasant on the phone and the workers were very kind and explained everything that they needed to do and showed me why the frame came apart. Same day service was helpful especially since my car was trapped inside and I couldn't get it out until after the repair. They completely repaired the door frame and cleaned up.
