home inspection
 + -1 moreNow I am having to go after his insurance company, which is another bunch of garbage. I have been trying for a month to get them to do something and I am still waiting. I sent all the documentation to them a month ago and still no response. I contacted them and was told that they were contacting Mr. Burke, not me!!! Even the broker says that it is a bunch of garbage. You want your house inspected? DON'T HIRE THIS MAN.
Description of Work: I was buying a home in PA and was currently living in CA. Mr. Burke charged me $500 to inspect the home prior to purchase. After purchase, within months, the roof blew off, the vinyl siding came off, the plumbing (which we found was duct taped) leaked, etc. Still, I simply took care of the repairs. Then we found out that the entire house was rotted under the vinyl siding. We have contractors who informed us that this was due to the sill plate being improperly installed and would have been clearly visible to the inspector. I had the home reinspected (cost $260) and the new inspector found that the electrical wiring was unsafe, no outlets were grounded, plumbing was inadequate, etc., etc., etc. Mr. Burke will take no responsibility. I found out later that he had been certified for a grand total of 2 months. Never use this man as he does not perform according to professional standards.
