We first came to Dan Erb looking to improve the look of our front yard. In addition to surveying the yard, Dan spent time talking with us to learn more about our tastes and what we were looking for. The resulting design was far better than anything we had imagined. Dan's 3-phase design consisted of an enlarged and resurfaced stone driveway, stone steps leading down to a hardscape patio/fire pit area (Belgard pavers) and best of all, a magnificent three tier waterfall that weaves in between the trees and into a waterless pond. The area was then finished off with Rhododendrons, decorative ferns, Lenten roses and several other plants to give it a beautiful, natural woodsy look we love.
Once the project was underway, Dan and his team worked hard and stuck to their schedule, putting in a full day's work each day until the project was completed. While the number of trees in the yard made it difficult to bring in the big earth-moving machines required to complete the project, they took care in navigating the machines so as not to damage the surrounding area. You can tell by the way they worked that they're all highly skilled, experienced professionals that are passionate about their craft.
Thanks to Dan and his team, what was once a drab, ordinary front yard is now one that's truly fit for Better Homes and Garden's magazine. No hyperbole. We've already had several neighbors stop and comment on how beautiful it is (not to mention all the cars that slow to a crawl and check it out when they drive by).
We couldn't be happier with the results or more strongly recommend Dan Erb and his team. The creativity and execution of the design could not have been any better. If you're looking for a truly great landscaper, give Dan a call.

Eric and his team from Erb's Landscaping are very professional and courteous. I am VERY pleased with the outcome of my lawn, as well as the time in which they perform this service each and every time. I would highly recommend Erb's Landscaping for all landscaping needs. I look forward to using their services in the future as well.

First thing they did was to make up a brochure with a color picture of how it would look when done which was beautiful. Dan seemed very professional and started the job as agreed. In the process of moving boulder rocks they broke the electric line going to our garden lights. Two of the rose bushes that they planted died before the year was up. When I called Dan, he said that they guaranteed none of their plantings but they would replace them only because we did the work on fixing the electric line that they broke. Two more of my plants(Grey Owl Junipers) died over the past winter and when I looked them up on the computer it says that they should be planted in a warmer zone. It was not a cold winter here in the Poconos but they died anyway. I spoke to another nursery and he said he had never heard of Grey Owl Junipers being planted in this area. In addition, I asked over and over again for another picture like the one they gave me originally which I lost, but they refused to do so. I would think it shouldn't be difficult to make a copy of the original picture.

In a year and a half, the whole thing is coming apart. The work was not well done. I can't say anything good about them. I had no problem paying the money for it, but only if the work was done properly. It took me 6 months to get the instruction booklet for the irrigation system. When they started the job, they were punctual and while they were doing the work they were punctual. They were professional.

Some things have died. A wire was broken. We have tried to get them to come back, and they won't. They were great until the got paid. They really aggravate me. My husband was sick at the time and he knew that. He told me that they didn't warranty anything.

Dan was the only contracter that came with plans for the walk way. He had everything on a computer with the plans landscaped also. He was very professional. If we had changes he lessoned to us. When it came to the day of installing and started laying it out we had some changes and they changed it. It took 2 days. They took pride in what they did. The forman came back to fix part of the walkway with out us calling them back because he did not like the way it turned out. we are very happy with it,

I would recommend him. He is smart and knows what he's talking about. He has good design ideas and helps you out if you're on a budget. He is very good at what he does.

My budget was key in this project and while I had desired additional features along the way (possibly small alcoves for a swing seat or maybe one for the grill) he honored my budget request and informed me how these things would effect my bottom line. I'm extremely pleased with the results. My patio wasn't just a "cookie cutter" pattern, It was truly a landscape "Design". I've seen patio's in the past that looked great after installation but after a single winter the ground would swell and leave the patio in unsightly condition. For this reason, I've waited to post until this winter was completed as I wanted to insure the patio still looked great. To my great pleasure, it does! I'm told this is because they took the time to properly compact the earth, grade it and add the proper filler (stone and sand) prior to laying the pavers. His crew is professional and I stress the fact that they are "Family Friendly". All my needs were met and I would reccomend Erb's Landscaping to not just anyone, but to friends and family as well.
