called for appointment talked to tech he explained what he would do and when to expect pick-up. called to see if it was fixed . not fixed yet will call later . it was as if they where doing me a favor at one time it was the customer is always right not in this store. Us another source for service the play games at best buy.

They were confident and friendly.

I like their call-in service where you call the 1-800# and then they get in in to your computer and check it and everything. I use them quite a bit because I'm not real great with computer sometimes and I mess up easily, so I use them quite a bit. I have two years of service withe them on that and they always come through with it.

They sat down with my husband and asked questions.  There were things on there that they were able to recover so that he didn't lose everything on his laptop.  It is first come, first serve.  Maybe they could have more people at the counter.

The computer was stopping on the "blue screen" when booting. Geek Squad's diagnostic cost $70 and took 7 days to finish, which seemed like a lot of money to hook it up to a machine and have it automatically look for a problem. The diagnostic determined it was a bad hard drive. Geek Squad replaced the hard drive, but the laptop wouldn't reload my OS. Geek Squad ran further diagnostics and decided it was probably a motherboard issue. The techs were professional and ultimately refunded the money I spent for the hard drive. They also agreed to apply the $70 toward my purchase of a new laptop at the store if I so chose. My only criticism was that the diagnostic cost so much money, and that they seemed to always be trying to sell me "extras" that weren't included - such as an extra $70 to reload my OS after they installed the hard drive.

RETAIL STAFF WERE MIXED IN THEIR ABILITY TO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS. ONE SALES PERSON WAS MUCH MORE HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. THEIR PRICES WERE THE BEST WE COULD FIND FOR THE TYPE OF PRODUCTS WE NEEDED.
