As expected

The house went on the market Saturday and we had a contract on it the next day. While going through the inspection process, the Buyer had issues with financing and the house has again become available. I spoke to Matt on the first of August at 10:30 pm regarding this matter and what steps we needed to take. Matt was most concerned with how my In-Laws would take this not so good news. You can find anyone who will work and do their job, but few who will actually care for those they are serving. Matt shows that kind people still do exist. I pray Matt never loses this quality.

Though we had a great house to sell, four years of previous efforts in all directions had given us nothing but frustration -- and believe me, we'd tried everything-- from traditional listing with major-name realty companies, to the FSBO approach, to minimalist realty company participation where they enter your property on the regional multi-list and then you do everything else.
So in the wake of previous offers that had fallen through and major disenchantment with the entire industry, we decided to go with Matt Ohlsson of Coldwell Banker, mostly on the strength of his can-do attitude, obvious knowledge of the market and overall positive approach. We soon realized that he hadn't made a single prediction that wasn't coming true and hadn't promised a smidgen more than he was ready to deliver. To our amazement, within three and a half weeks of the listing, we had an offer for the asking price. A few serious bumps in the road still arose between the purchase agreement and the closing, but Matt was unflappable throughout and consistently spot-on in his advice. With his expert guidance, we negotiated all the potential pitfalls and closed on time, with all our ducks in a row.
