Animal General

Yesterday was one of the most emotional days of my life, I had to put down my precious kitty, Theo. My current vet was not able to fit me and so I called AGC, as my dad has been bringing his pup here for years; they were able to fit me in immediately. It amazed me how sympathetic and genuine Dr. Justin and Tara were thoughout the whole process. I cannot thank them enough for helping me say goodbye to my little buddy.

I've been using them for about 10 years. My dog hates going anywhere. They treat my dog very kind. They have just one waiting area. Usually there's only one other pet there. I've always gotten good service there. They have all my dogs records. They are very honest. They won't recommend a procedure that doesn't need to be done. They told me it's cheaper to give oral flea medicine.

Very well. The staff is very kind and professional.

Because of serious health conditions, I have lost several animals over the years, but always felt that the vets and staff only wanted the best outcome. They are honest and open and will answer questions about what is in the best interest of the pet. They also are very sensitive to cost issues and will advise on this without being asked.

I have been going to animal general for a little over a year for my 2 year old lab/shepherd mix. Recently, I needed an update vaccination report for my dog to take her to the groomers. While I was at the groomers trying to get ahold of animal general, there line was busy for over an hour. Called relentlessly, once I finally got through I was out on hold for 15 minutes forcing me to hang up and call back again. This process took over an hour, my groomers appointment was cancelled and I had to reschedule. Once I FINALLY got ahold of animal general which I visited within the past 2 weeks to purchase more heart guard and front line, I was told my dogs shots were up to date, I asked for her records to be faxed to my
Groomers. Much to my surprise, they told me my dog had been euthanized!!!!!!!!!! They had mixed up my dogs charts with another dog. They were unhelpful getting this resolved and I would NEVER recommend them.

Dakota was seen by Dr. Stewart. Dakota is a 1 year old male GSD that had a bad experience with a vet when he was 14 weeks old. I informed Dr. Stewart and staff of this and they were wonderful with him. The vet tech took him to get the bloodwork drawn and she said he did fine. Dr. Stewart was great with him and took it slow. Dr. Stewart was very knowledgeable about Dakota's problem and patient with my OCD about my dog. I scheduled an appointment for my 12wk old female with them. My 2 fur kids will be going to Animal General from now on.

They are very caring and very good with the cat and me. It is a pleasant environment. The staff is all great. The doctor is very nice and professional.

My pet is now very healthy thanks to my new veterinarian. He wasn't in it for the money. He gave me as much time as I needed to tell him about my pet's symptoms. Thank you for allowing me to discuss this.

They are excellent. I would recommend him to others. I will continue to use this provider again in the future.

We recently had my 9 year old dog in for diagnostic tests because she's lost 10% of her body weight in 3 months. We did blood work and various x-rays. Fortunately, we didn't find anything seriously wrong. We love the vets at animal general and the staff and our dogs love them too. Everyone goes to Animal General for Dr. Mike Hutchinson from what we've observed. But the other vets have been trained by him and are just as good (Dr. Stewart, Dr. Meyers, and Dr. Marc McDaniels). Sometimes it takes up to a week to get an appointment which is the only downside. However they have do have long hours (evening and saturday appointments).

I was very pleased with the care that my cat got. My cat was losing weight and I had no clue why. It turned out to be hyper thyroid. Now I got her on thyroid medication and she is started to gain a little bit of weight. Everything is great, fine and wonderful. I would definitely recommend them.

Dr. Hutchinson and the people at Animal General helped guide us through the last few months of Hershe's life. We will be forever grateful for the sincere concern, compassion, and understanding given us and our wonderful dog/friend/companion, Hershe, during this very diffucult time.
On a brighter note, Animal General (Dr. Hutchinson) was Hershe's veterinarian the last few years of her life. Though we lived nearly 50 miles away, we just got the feeling that Animal General was the place we were confident she would get the best care.
We were never disappointed.

We have a dog with severe allergies and this particular veterinarian's office, all of the vets in the entire office, are extremely knowledgeable about allergies for dogs. They have been pretty punctual, maybe running a few minutes late, like no more than 15 or 20 minutes late at the very most; and that has usually been an emergency situation. I have been using them for almost 3 years and I have been very happy with them. I will use them again in the future.

It was a complicated surgery, but, they did a great job with the whole thing. It was fully healed in less than half the time they thought it would be. They are very friendly there and the place is very clean too. He is a very nice doctor and the rest of the staff is very nice too.
