They are very nice people. Everything was done at the time they said it would be done. Actually it was even done earlier. They thought they would need a whole day, but they did not, it was done quickly. Without my provocation they checked to see if some of the repairs that needed done were under warranty and they were not, so they were able to process that and save me several hundred dollars. What stands out the most about their work is that they repair the problems the first time and you don't have to go back. I never feel like they are trying to push more services onto me, or want me to do more or buy more. They will suggest to me, but they will never say it has to be done. I am always confident in what they say. If they say something needs done I am pretty sure it is because it does need done, not because they are trying to pad the bill. The dealer actually does more than just Honda. They have several different makes. I always buy my Hondas there and I get them serviced there.
When I got in touch with the service department, they told me that I would have to bring the car in so they could tear apart the dashboard and get the number. I asked if the number couldn't be found somewhere else. He reluctantly told me that it was probably in my owners manual (which it was).
This seemed very dishonest to me. I found out later that, not only is the code in my owners manual, but you can go on-line and get the information with only your VIN and an e-mail address. If you didn't give them an e-mail address, there's a number you can call and get the code by just giving them some other information to prove that it is you that is calling (not a thief who stole your radio).
I wrote them a letter explaining the entire incident - hoping that this was a rogue service employee and not their normal operating procedure. They did not reply. That tells me that this is how they choose to do business, so they will no longer get mine. I will buy my next Honda elsewhere. I was never terribly happy with their sales staff anyway.
