Joe Schmidt and his workmen did a very nice job in modernizing our condo's kitchen by removing a non-load bearing wall, relocating light switches and installing new recessed LED ceiling lights. They worked quickly, efficiently and cleanly. We were very impressed by the things they did to reduce construction dust. This is the second time we've used Black Forest Home Improvements (formerly known as Your Handyman & Construction Co.), because they do nice work at a reasonably decent price and, most important, we trust Joe. We fully intend to use them again, soon!

Joe was by far the best contractor we have ever hired. From the initial estimate through the finished job, we could not have asked for a better experience. Joe was honest and upfront about the work to be done as well as price and timeline to complete the work. Contractor provided a detailed estimate which included allowances for materials and supplies along with a timeline for completion. Contractor was amendable to our suggestions and changes and was prompt in providing updated estimates. Contractor allowed the customer flexibility in purchasing the supplies and materials directly. His staff was very knowledgeable, experienced, courteous and trustworthy while working on our project.

Excellent! Added a house onto another house for family - an additional 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, garages, etc... there were several obstacles ranging from architectural oversights that Joe and his team caught to the pandemic. The home is beautiful and detailed. I will definitely call Joe again in the future for more projects. He was a pleasure to work with even during challenging times.

Joe’s crew was prompt (ok, a bit later than stated on a couple days, but it’s the middle of COVID, so nothing was *really* running on time!), professional, and always wore their masks correctly (more than I can say for people in the stores). Despite our house filled with two WFH adults, three kids schooling from home, two dogs, three cats, and four chickens, they managed to do the work quickly and with the smallest intrusion into our chaos as possible- not an easy feat at all! We absolutely would (and probably will) hire them again.

The work was done on time and in a professional manner and the floor looks good. The workers were polite and cleaned up at the end of the day. Follow up to correct a minor inprofection was done quickly effectively. Joe has done several Jobs for me in the past, both large and small. All good work. Easy to work with and prompt.

The team arrived timely, completed the requested work diligently and professionally and attempted to leave the property in a relatively orderly fashion. The drywall work was exceptional with no evidence of seams or screw marks. The paint work on the ceiling was crisp and professional. A request was made to move an existing light fixture and add another outside the original contract proposal. The team completed the task expediently.

Joe and his crewmen were experienced professionals who worked efficiently, promptly and thoroughly. We were especially pleased that Teddy suggested we consider replacing our flooring while our laundry room wall and plumbing was being repaired. We had not thought of this, but he was absolutely correct. Joe’s quote for the extra work was very reasonable and we proceeded. Really glad we did! The guys were very nice and they cleaned-up the work area before leaving each day. We highly recommend using Your Handyman & Construction Co.

These guys are tops in their field. work was done completely and professionally. Top notch quality. One thing Your Handyman Construction does better than other construction companies is communication. You call them, they answer and listen to what you say. I can't stress how important that is.

Joe was prompt, professional and precise. He was extremely responsive to my concerns and he and his workers are excellent craftsmen. Joe kept to his time schedule, was accurate in his estimate as to when he could start and finish the work. Also, he was very particular in his written estimate. Joe returned phone calls and e-mails in a timely manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Further, I would call him again for any project that is in his scope of business.
