Have a couple of these switches in the home. Never had a problem with any until recently one of the rooms (Ceiling Fan and Light) stopped working. No Power. All other power in the room worked. After hiring an electrician to trouble shooot, they 1st THOUGHT I needed a new ceiling fan and we bought one, THEN they realized it was NOT the ceiling fan, but the remote from the "Lutron Maestro Duo dimmer/Fan control Light Switch". I bought a new one and the electrician came back to replace (no additional charge from the electrician!) and Lutron sent a replacement. (Unit was only 6-8 months old when it failed. No issues of power surges as I have a Whole House Power Surge Protector at my Circuit box and no signs of power surges anywhere else. I just seemed to POP when I turned on the light. ** BOTTOM Line, the product quality is very good and although cost is higher then we'd like, the Customer Service people were TOP NOTCH and extremely responsive! We'll continue to buy Lutron products, especially with the new technologies they are providing now!
