Reached out few times left voicemails and send emails but never get back to me.

I never received a response.

Sent request through Angie's List and left voicemail asking to be contacted for an estimate to replace deck. As of today have not received a response.

All the work was done very well, however 7yrs later, I am trying to get in touch with them again & after calling & leaving messages for 3 days in a row, I have not gotten any response.

It was great. They did an excellent job. I would I highly recommend them.

The job involved installing  a track system on the underside of the deck to mount the ceiling panels, and also a gutter system to divert the rain from the foundation of the house .Eric oversaw the project and was very meticulous in ensuring  that there were no leaks and that the job was done right.
 In addition to solving the rainy weather issue, the ceiling looks very nice and brightens the area alot. The panels are white vinyl and add a whole new dimension to the area.
We love sitting on our patio all the time now, just not when the weather is good.

Decks R Us was knowledgeable, efficient, cost-conscious, and great to work with. They had the steps completely repaired and passing inspection within a week or so. They even added a little design element to make our steps and quot;oursand quot;. We were thinking of adding a gate at the top of the steps because of kids - and rather than trying to talk us into spending additional money - they gave us their professional opinion that it wouldn't be a good idea in our case. I wish we would have found them earlier and worked with them from the start. I only ramble about how well it went because I am truly grateful that they wanted to take on fixing someone else's work and that they were so good and professional. I will definitely use again (have already contacted them about weatherproofing the underside of the deck).

Our over-all experience with Decks R Us Elite was excellent. The first thing you need to know about planning and building a new deck is that the top builders have a backlog of customers. This makes sense given the quality of the work that people are literally lining up for. The lesson is that if you want a new deck for the spring, you had better contact a builder by at least early the prior fall to get on the schedule if not sooner. We spoke to other builders and had one other come out to review our needs only to never hear from him again. Our neighbors had a deck installed several years ago by Decks R Us Elite and it still looks great so we stopped looking and called them. Eric, who owns the company, was very attentive to our design desires and offered unique solutions and multiple other completed decks for us to look at on-line and in person (with the owner's permission of course). He also gave us large samples of the Trex decking and railings for us to keep and compare colors. In the end, he suggested a new color combination that we are very happy with. He laid out all of the costs and based the price on square footage, steps, and railing combinations. The Trex product is certainly not cheap but, I knew that and I did not feel like I was being nickeled and dimed with the costs. He handled all permitting and inspections and had very good knowledge of the local regulations and building inspectors. When it came time to start the project, his crew of three guys were extremely efficient, courteous and clean. The old deck came down in less than a day with footings poured thereafter along with the sill plate installation. After a few days to let the concrete set, the framing began in earnest. In total there was maybe 4 or 5 days of building with the only delays being bad weather. At the end of each day, all materials were neatly stacked and covered and the work area always cleaned up. Eric was either on the site with his crew or checked in periodically throughout the day. He also entered all the warranty information
for us and we then received a large packet in the mail from Trex outlining our coverage and dos and don'ts for care. In summary, be prepared for a long lead time to get scheduled but, the end result is worth the wait.

Eric and his crew were on time, they worked quickly and were very knowledgable. My deck turned out beautifully with soft corners and boards laid diagonally, not only for additional support but for an impressive look. The attention to details was meticulous and superb. Highly recommended, wouldn't consider anyone else.

We replaced an older splintery wooden deck with a new Trex deck. The stairs were also replaced. The deck is over a paver patio/ walk out basement. The project went extremely well, the new Trex deck is two tone and very handsome,The stairs were brought up to code and are now lit, as tjhe deck is as well. Underneath the deck is a water escape system and white vinyl soffit and in ceiling lighting.
All work was done in a very professional manner. Eric was very meticulous and responded to all concerns. Final result is outstanding.
Decs-R-Us was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive installer from whom we received quotes, but I feel we made the right choice.

We highly recommend Erik Bernhard's Decks R Us Elite. We had to replace our deck, so based on a recommendation from another contractor we trusted, we contacted Erik. He came to our house and spent a couple of hours listening to our requirements and discussing options such as materials and design. Later in the bid process, Erik showed us some of the decks that he had built in our neighborhood. The high quality and innovative design of these samples convinced us to give Erik the job.
His team removed the old deck and then leveled the grade to insure that rainwater would run away from the house. They quickly dug and built the footers and then framed the deck. Erik builds the frame more conservatively than required by code, resulting in a very solid feel when you walk on the finished deck. After the framing, the team constructed the floor and steps, and then installed the railing and lights. The fit and finish matches the sample we saw, and we are very pleased with the result.
The team also brought in decorative stone and stained the visible portions of the frame in a color to match the deck. These final touches made a big difference when viewing the deck from the outside.
The new deck was shorter than the original deck, so additional siding was required. His team installed new siding in a way that blends into the existing siding material.
Erik was very accessible throughout the project. He often called with progress reports and to discuss upcomings steps. If we called him, we usually had to leave a voicemail but he returned the calls by the end of the day. Erik stands behind his work, correcting any problems that arise during the project.
Erik will build a deck in any material you choose (including wood) but most customers choose Trex. Unlike competing composite materials, Trex won't fade and is very strong. He showed us an example of a relatively new deck made of a different material, where the color was already fading. The Trex gets a bit hotter in the sun than some of the other materials, but dark colors in any of them will be too hot for bare feet if the deck is in the sun during the summer.
The team left their materials on our property but organized them in small areas. They cleaned up debris at the end of the day, and after each stage of the project. Erik cleaned the deck and our house with a pressure washer at the end of the project.
Erik generates a sizable backlog of business through the spring and summer, so you should contact him sooner than later - and you should contact him if you need a deck.
