Al Stumpo , the stonemason, did an incredible job. For this job and other bigger jobs he has done for us, his work was beautiful. He is a true craftsman! He fit the stones perfectly and matched the mortar remarkably well. This is a house built in the 20's and he was able to match the mortar in spite of obvious aging and wear. He came on time, worked steadily, and cleaned up after himself. I would recommend him without hesitation and would readily hire him again if I had any more work in his area. Ned Stumpo, the other contractor, and his team, did a wonderful job putting in the window and doing the inside rebuilding. The finished product was beautiful. Unfortunately, Ned was unresponsive and inattentive regarding the scheduling and timing. The original plan and $1000 deposit were done in early October, 2013. In spite of at least 9 emails with increasing frustration, the work was not completed until July, 2014. He did not address my concerns satisfactorily in terms of getting the job done. I would not want to work with him again unless it was required as part of a stonework job that Al was doing.

Ned and Al Stumpo both came to the initial consultation and spent a lot of time problem-solving and planning with my husband. They were flexible with their approach, willing to work with the materials and plans he proposed, yet adding expertise and experience. Al Stumpo, the stonemason, then came to do the work. He was punctual, focused, and very skilled. His work is beautiful! It blends well with the stone of our house and uses the individually-shaped stones with an artistic balance and coordination. We couldn't recommend them more highly!
