This company really knows all about trees and plants. You can ask them anything and they'll know the answer. We consulted with them on a tall tree that was leaning slightly toward our house. We also have a problem with thistle and they got rid of it for us. And even told us if it grew back to call them and they would provide another dose of weedkiller at no additional charge! We did have to ask them to come back and they were true to their word. Very prompt response and extremely effective. Additionally, they did a great job at cleaning up our property from old leaves and other detritus. We are very happy. This is the second time we used Green Earth Gardens. We used them last year for cleanup and they did a great job which is why we asked them to come back.

I'd originally reached out to Tim Shoup, Owner of Green Earth Gardens, over a year ago to ask about installing pervious asphalt and/or pavers in our driveway. I learned from him that paving companies weren't mixing pervious asphalt for residential customers (he did some investigating on my behalf), so we talked about his installing a mix of pavers and asphalt so that at least some of the driveway was permeable (all pavers was too much money). Tim was really friendly and open, easy to talk to, knowledgeable and responsive with the estimate (and the estimate seemed right), but I decided that I'd wait until pervious asphalt was possible.

I e-mailed Tim this past September and learned that there are now quite a few options for permeable paving (to quote him, "What a difference a year makes!"). He came out to take a look at our driveway again and and made a great suggestion: that when we repave the driveway with the pervious asphalt, we also expand the entrance area to our house to create a walkway beside the driveway. I loved the idea. He provided us with a drawing and an estimate within a week. I wanted to be sure that I knew what materials he was planning on using, so I e-mailed me him with photos of stone walls, gravel, and flagstone (images I found on the web) so that I had a good sense of what he meant by "schist," "gravel," etc. (I'd learned from a past hardscaping project that communicating really well up front is important to me.) Tim was always responsive, good-humored, and accommodating of our requests for more info. or for changes to the plan. He came out again to stake out the dimensions of the new entrance area so that we could get a few for the size, invited us to his site to take a look at the materials he planned to use, and oriented his assistant on site as to what materials to show us. I felt confident moving ahead with the plan.

Within days of our signing the estimate, Tim called to schedule the work - for that week. We were ready and the work started on a Friday. The crew (three friendly and REALLY hard working men) worked through the week, with Tim on site every day (included the day the pavement contractors came, during which he made sure they understood what we'd talked about). We made two requests: that Tim bring up the step (we thought it was too low) and add more stepping stones than he originally planned. Tim agreed to this and made the adjustments, putting in more hours and absorbing some costs.

We are very happy with the result. Working with Tim was easy (he's serious about the work, but is cheerful and has a nice sense of humor) and we thought the crew was skilled, hard working, pleasant to be around, and considerate of our property.

We opted to go with Green Earth because we knew that the work done would be meticulous and that there would be no surprise costs for things not included in the basic service. The focus and attention to detail was obvious throughout--and not only with the owners of the business, but also with the crew.   We will absolutely use them again.

Quote was provided promptly. Besides looking at job at hand, person provided a wealth of other information about our trees. Very clear that he is knowledgeable and passionate about trees. Work crew came on scheduled day and removed trees quickly. Stump removal was by a subcontractor on another day. We hope to use them for other services.

We have been using Green Earth for several years and they are great. They come when the grass needs to be cut and they are very fast and good. As far as the last job, they did everything in about 6-8 hour with 6 people. They clean up and do a fantastic job
