We have used Durante Electric numerous times over the last couple of years and are always pleased with the service. The owner, Dan, is friendly and very knowledgeable. Their workers are friendly, always show up on time and complete the job in the estimated amount of time. We will definitely use Durante Electric in the future.

We had hired another electrician to do some electrical work before we had the walls and ceiling removed and replaced in our living room and dining room.  He did not finish the job on time.  When he electrician exposed knob-and-tube wiring, we were not confident that he was not up to the job of replacing it.  We needed to find a new electrician ASAP.  Luckily, when the demo crew arrived, they referred us to Durante Electric.  Since we were in the middle of a renovation job, time was of the essence.  Durante Electric was able to come out, give an estimate, start the next day and stay on the job full time until it was completed.  Their ace electrician, Reuben Rodriguez, was able to work around the drywall crew without getting in their way.  He did outstanding work and was very easy to get along with--both for me and my wife, and for the drywall crew.  Durante Electric could have driven a hard bargain because we needed this work done ASAP, but their price was completely fair.  The results are outstanding.  We got a very high value for the price we paid.  We will definitely hire Durante Electric next time we have electrical work to be done.

The two-man team figured out how best to route the wire and used drills to go through a chimney stone wall efficiently then calked the opening carefully. Highly recommended, thank you!

The friendly Durante team of two people completed this large project in about three weeks, on-time, within budget, and to a very high standard.  At the outset, they worked very hard to cause the minimum of associated work (such as drywall patching) and spent a whole day carefully deciding where to cut the holes for the ceiling lights!   We have a large "early-American" style home with lots of old wood beams, which presented them with quite a challenge.   As the project progressed, they brought various options to our attention and made several excellent suggestions.   They were also smart with dollars.  Originally we had planned on replacing the old strip lights in an antique china cabinet, but Dan Durante suggested we just replace the old tungsten bulbs with small LED bulbs - much simpler and less expensive.  They cleaned up every day, and were very considerate throughout.   We found Durante Electric through Angie's list, this is the first time we have used the firm, and we are delighted with the results.  We plan to use the firm again and highly recommend them.

They replied on Monday morning that their electrician, Ruben would be out Monday afternoon. Ruben and his tech arrived on time as scheduled. They identified the problem as the washer which was shorting out. While there, I also had them examine my lamp post which was not working. They identified the problem as the wiring and provided an estimate to repair. Ruben was professional, knowledgable and friendly. I would highly recommend Durante Electric!

I thought my lighting fixture needed to be rewired. I called for them to come out and fix it. As it turned out, the switch in the wall had a loose wire. Ruben, the technician popped the wire out. tightened it and fixed the problem in 2 minutes. He didn't even charge me because it only took a minute! He could have easily made a full job out of it! I will use them for all of my electrical needs in the future! That is customer service.

They were able to come out probably within the day to do an estimate and then were able to come back to fix the problem within 2 days. It was very good. The price was very reasonable.

The service call was fantastic.  Durante showed up within 1 hour of my phone call.  The tech was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.  He answered all my questions and explained my options to correct some electrical challenges.  I would definitely use this company again will recommend them highly to family and friends.

We thought we had a potential fire problem, called Durante, and they sent a technician who was in the area to look at the problem.  He showed up within an hour, was courteous and professional.

I had discovered on a Friday morning that multiple outlets were not working in my condo. I checked the breaker and it appeared to be OK. I looked up electricians in my area that had been rated on Angie's list. Durante Electric had only one rating, but it was a good one. I called Friday morning knowing that I would need someone to come in on a weekend to do the repair. (There was no way I was going to be able to leave work early Friday.) The person who answered the phone was not sure they would be able to find someone who would be available the next day, Saturday. He warned me there would be a higher trip fee and per hour rate on a Saturday. When I said OK, he then said he would call me back to let me know if someone could come out Saturday. An hour or two later he called me back and said someone could come out Saturday at 10:30am. I double-checked the cost with him so I wouldn't have sticker shock.

The next morning at precisely 10:30 the electrician, I'll call him Raymond, arrived. He was friendly and professional. I showed him the affected outlets and the location of the electric panel. He first checked the breaker wasn't bad. It wasn't, so he went about checking other things. He eventually discovered that there were two GF electric outlets on the same circuit , which was a problem. He first tried leaving just one in, but that didn't work. Then he tried just leaving the other one in - that still didn't work. He said BOTH GF outlets were acting up, so he trashed those and put in a new one and then put a standard outlet in for the second. The wiring in my condo was a little unusual, he said. That doesn't surprise me. Not the best builder.

Durante is very good. There are several electricians working for him, but the guy they usually send out to me is very willing to explain what he's doing, including show and tell, does the job and gets it done. There usually is a wait of about a week for their services, but I think if it was an emergency they'd come faster. I'm sorry I can't be more effusive, because they really do a nice job, but to be honest, I don't know enough about electricity to judge what they're doing. All i know is that it doesn't work before they come and it does work after. :-)
