"This review was given by ex employee that is not qualify to work for us."
"This customer found about us from Movers.com not Angie’s List. After the move which he was unsatisfied with, he proceeded to bash our company on every website available to search for moving companies, e.g. Yelp and Angie’s List (which offers a dispute resolution process). The originally scheduled move was long distance to Fairview, PA on September 28, 2014 which is a Sunday. On Sunday morning he informed us he is not moving to Fairview and would need to move his household items to our storage facility. We then changed the pricing method from a flat price to an hourly rate and we explained that this would incur two moves, plus the storage fee plus packaging material. When the mover arrived at the customer’s house, we realized that the customer doubled the amount of items. We still continued with the move and helped him move from his residence to our storage facility. We promised the customer one month plus 7 days storage free of charge. .When he moved out of our storage facility on November 17th it was 51 days of storage. This exceeded our originally promised free storage agreement. On the day of the delivery on November 17, we informed the customer that he stayed in our storage longer than first agreed upon and that he would need to pay for the additional days. The customer became extremely irate, argumentative and refused to pay. Rather than become involved in a nasty confrontation, we decided not to charge him for the extra storage time and just finish the job. The customer than placed a bad review and falsely accused us of charging him for storage and breaking items. Paperwork that the customer signed lists the free storage and pre-existing damage to items. We contacted the customer, told him he made false accusations about our company and we would take further action. That is when he decided to remove the false accusations from the Angie’s List complaint and then added new damages that he claimed we caused but were never listed on the final paperwork. When we contacted him that we do have the right to come to his home and inspect the aforementioned damages, he said he would send pictures. We informed him that pictures would not suffice and we needed to have a Claim Department representative actually come to his home and see the damages. At this point, we are still waiting for him to make this appointment. In conclusion, we feel that he is one of those customers who would never be satisfied and takes advantage of the opportunity to ruin our reputation."
The guys show up and hour early to the house because they didn't want
to miss a football game on tv!!! They refused to move half of the house
after wrapping items up and saying they were okay to move. The guys said
furniture needed to be broken to get down the stairs... Instead they
needed to flip the headboard and try it another way. Two of the guys
spent half of the time sitting in the truck, smoking and watching clips
on their phone. They were rude, standoffish and ridiculously
lazy the entire day. ONLY to be topped off by the insulting and
obviously confused front office which called me a liar and sent a refund
check of 35.00 which "Im not even worth that".... Do yourself a favor
and MOVE AS FAR away as you can from this company and their terrible
service.
"Countrywide Moving & Storage always goes above and beyond to meet the expectations of our customers. In effort to do this, we ensure we arrive in a timely manner and handle the property of others as if it were our own. In light of this fact, we arrived 20 minutes early and disassembled all items that could potentially be damaged in the move. Our movers have been employed with our company for many years – they are knowledgeable, ambitious, and professional – qualities which, in large part, have contributed to our success. They worked efficiently as the entire move was completed in 5.5 hours. We are sorry that we didn’t meet the expectations of this member. This is quite puzzling as this wasn’t the message we received onsite. However, please see our many other happy customers as shown by our consistent “A” rating reviews."
Very courteous, organized and helpful. Helped pack and loaded the truck one day, and met me in Virginia early the next morning. Everything arrived intact, I am pleased to say. Some add-on $ since there was more packing than anticipated. Would recommend them to get the job done!
