My wife and I met Jon Christopher almost 2 years ago in search for a home in Pennsylvania. Being out of state it was tricky and difficult but Jon always accommodated us when we were able to come from Virginia even at the last minute. Our family has been through what can only be described as a real estate odyssey in the last few years, and we cannot thank Jon Christopher and his team at Christopher Real Estate Services enough for guiding us home. Many realtors can provide a positive purchase experience when things are straightforward; it takes an exceptional professional with an outstanding commitment to service to handle the most complex and difficult situations, and unfortunately our journey home has been the latter. We ultimately settled on building a new home in early spring of 2017, with a projected settlement in late summer 2017, shortly after the birth of our twins. However, the construction process proved to be fraught with extensive delays and setbacks that lasted over a year, which resulted in a great deal of stress for our family. Through it all, Jon was our constant advocate and advisor, adhering to the highest standards of practice and promoting ongoing, transparent communication despite a lack of reciprocation from other professionals involved in our process. While we waited for our home to be built, Jon also represented us in the sale of our former home. His professionalism, dedication, and deep analysis of the market and trends allowed us to sell our home at our asking price in less than two weeks. The sale was a seamless, stress-free process thanks to Jon, Mary, and the team at Christopher Real Estate Services. Although we finally settled and moved into our long awaited home in August 2018, our journey is not quite finished, as we wait for the completion of several items. Even though our purchase is completed, Jon continues to be a resource and support for our family, checking in for updates on progress, to see how we are doing, and graciously answering our questions. Jon was fantastic- we couldn't have asked for a better realtor! My husband and I just purchased our first home and it took us about a year and half (although only about 4 months of active looking) to find it. Jon was extremely patient and helpful, and we never felt pressured in any way. He has extensive knowledge of construction that helped him zero in on trouble spots that would cost us money once were owners. He explained everything in detail, sometimes even more than once haha, and in words we could actually understand. We had a great buying experience and hands down we would highly recommend him to anyone!

Jon did an excellent job serving as our real estate agent. He was recommended by my sister who he helped buy/sell their previous home. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a background in construction which is useful when looking at possible renovations. He also has a detailed eye and noticed issues in a home that I would have otherwise missed. I was buying from 2 hours away, and he was always able to accommodate my hectic schedule. He even worked during his vacation Thanksgiving week to help us put an offer on a house. That house deal fell through, but Jon stayed positive. We found our current home 2 days later, and it is our dream home! Jon was able to get the house even though there were 2 other offers on it. Jon first helped us sell our house for a profit, in a very tough market back in 2010. He then helped us land an excellent investment property for way under asking price. After four years of living in it and slowly renovating, we sold it for a substantial profit that Jon helped us to leverage into the purchase of our incredible new house in June of 2016. If we weren't so in love with our new dream home, My wife and I would do it all again with Jon. Buying and selling houses is an incredible way to build wealth. However it can be one of the most stressful business transactions for someone like me who isn't a real estate professional. Yet, Jon is so good, that through every step in the process of selling and buying (four times), Jon made it not just doable, but enjoyable.

My wife and I were purchasing our first home and we were extremely nervous about selecting an agent to help us. We had heard horror stories of do nothing agents or agents that pushed people to buy houses that weren't a good idea just so they could collect the commission check and move onto the next. After much hemming and hawing we finally decided to give Jon a try. From the very first contact he was extremely quick to reply and very professional. I had emailed him late at night, around 11pm, and expected a reply the next day when he got into the office. To my surprise within 4 minutes I had a response back to my email letting me know that he had received it, that he would love to help us in any way he could, and that he would respond in more detail the next day. From there we talked back and forth in email a little bit and then we met in person for an interview. Jon explained how he doesn't ask anyone to sign an exclusive contract with him because he doesn't believe in them and wants his clients to work with him because they want to, not because they are contractually obligated. He went into great detail explaining how the process was going to work and what we should expect and also what we wanted in a house.
When it came down to finding houses, Jon makes great use of technology. He subscribes you to automated emails that send you the MLS data for every house that match the parameters you put in. This makes it very easy to see what is available, when prices change, or when a new house comes on the market. While we were looking at the available houses, we had decided to increase our budget to see if that helped to show us more inventory that we liked. Jon cautioned us to ensure that we were still being realistic with our budget and we weren't going to end up stretching ourselves too thin. I was thoroughly impressed with this because it would have been easy for him to push us towards it to give himself a larger commission check but he put our long term well being first.
During the showings of the houses we had asked Jon to show us, he was very informative and helpful. He noticed problems (or potential problems) that we never would have even thought to consider (things like deferred maintenance, quality of the work being done to the house, etc). It was obvious he wasn't just trying to get us into a house, any house, as quickly as he could and that he actually cared about us getting a house we were happy with.
Once we had finally settled on a house that we wanted to submit an offer on Jon again was a great help. He helped us determine what a fair offer value is and all of the items we were asking for to be included. Again Jon made a great use of technology, using an electronic method of signing the offer documents that allowed us to talk on the phone instead of needing to meet in person and still sign all of the documents. This also enabled us to go through several counter offers with a very quick turn around since we didn't need to coordinate a time to meet up in person.
Once we had an accepted offer, Jon set up a spreadsheet showing all of the important dates and things we needed to do. He kept this up to date throughout the entire process which made it very easy to see at any time where we were in the process and what still needed to be done. Jon also held our hand the entire time, making sure that anytime there was a deadline that we had it done well beforehand or whenever there was something that needed coordinated with a third party he was right there to handle almost every detail.
Throughout this entire process Jon was always very responsive in both emails and via text messages, often replying within minutes. He was always extremely professional and very helpful. He recommended several great third party people to us (which he receives no compensation for) and all of them turned out great as well. Beyond all of that, he's a great guy who genuinely cares about his clients and having them walk away from the experience happy. I would not hesitate to thoroughly recommend Jon to anyone looking to purchase a house and would not expect anyone to ever regret going with him.

I know Jon. Jon is a good guy. We are still with him. He is great. The settlement is going to be Thursday. We are still working together. He is keeping us informed. He is very professional, very knowledgeable and very prompt in his response to our questions. He is very good at letting us know what's going on whether we've asked or not. He treats us with courtesy and respect. He knows what he is doing and keeps us informed about that. He doesn’t cut corners. I recommend him for others; I've already done that.

Jon was an absolutely top notch realtor for us during the summer on 2014.  For both the purchase of our new home in Newton Square and the rental process for our previous residence in Drexel Hill, Jon walked us through every step in the process.  He was always available to look at a new listing, join us during the home inspection or to make sure everything was in order for the big settlement day.  What we believe set Jon apart from his peers is both is attention to detail and the amount of time he took to make sure we understood what was going on during every part of what can be a confusing home buying process.  Jon was truly an excellent negotiator for us as well, making sure we achieved an excellent price, a great mortgage plan and were getting a house that was in good condition. We will certainly use Jon again for any real estate transaction in the future.

This was not our first time selling a home and we were prepared for "stress" of this.;  Jon answered every call and question. 
The process went very smooth.  He was open to our take on selling our home.  We were so pleasantly surprised andf delighted with this real estate company that I would recommend them and Jon in particular.
