General Remodeling
It was a very disappointing experience. I found out during the process that he was not licensed. Also he did habitually sloppy and shoddy work, and accepted no responsibly for his many code violating, unsafe work..
He failed to obtain a permit which then required many major corrections on his work by another contractor. I ended up firing him for sloppy workmanship among numerous other things. Major repairs were needed biased on his sloppy and code violating work, and he never made a written estimate/contract which is required by PA law. We bought this two bedroom house, asked Rick to covert a room into another bedroom (making it a 3 BR), and Rick would up making it a one BR house!! Rick put too small of windows in BRs to have it meet code. Rick claimed he had never heard of "egress" windows and admitted he did not read the PA Residence code, citing it has 33000 pages (not true!!). What an exprensive mess he left us!
