Comfort One Systems Inc

Terrible!  I haven't heard from Comfort One in over a month.  I've called to check status - calls not returned.  What kind of business operates like this? I've contacted my credit card to dispute the charge now and I will be contacting Heatilator as Comfort One is an authorized vendor of Heatilator products.  It's bad enough that I paid $140 for essentially NOTHING, as having the technician come out and say I need a part doesn't really fix the problem - I'm not adding to the fraud by paying $186 for a part I never received.  
Avoid this business!  
Unfortunately I am not alone in this experience - however, I didn't do the proper research ahead of time so I didn't realize these folks make a habit of this type of behavior.  I have found it very, very challenging to find someone to repair fireplaces around here.

The vent to outside came loose and our whole house filled with black greasy smoke ruining our paint and carpeting.  We found a certified pellet stove installer /servicer (Swifts) who reinstalled the stove which was too close to wall.  Do not buy from them

I stopped in the Comfort Home and Hearth Store to inquire about a fireplace mantel.  I spoke with a sales person named Chuck McGroarty.  I brought pictures with me, knew exactly what I wanted, and selected a style from a catalogue.  Chuck said it would take him a few day to get me a quote, then he'd need to come out and measure our fireplace, then I could place the order.  I had to call and email several times and it ended up taking 2 weeks to get a quote, then another series of emails to finally schedule an appointment for measuring 3 weeks later.  I actually asked for a different salesperson because he Chuck wa unresponsive, but the person who I spoke to said, "Chuck is having people issues, I want to help him out, so I'll make the measuring appointment for him and put it in his book so he will be sure to be there." 

Fast forward to our appointment day, we were scheduled for 8:30am.  He came at 8:00 instead (I asked him why and he said he likes to show up early for appointments) and he left before I got there at 8:25.  It's a house that we recently purchased but don't yet live in, so I wasn't there at 8:00.  In the end, 6 weeks went by with me basically begging this store to install a fireplace mantel for me and they were unable to pull it together and deliver.  A frustrating experience.

Their estimate wasn't bad, it was actually a few hundred dollars less than the store that we ended up going with, but this store (Halligan's Home and Hearth in Malvern) is MUCH better to work with.

Excellent company, very professional and responsive to customer needs. Picked out unit in store. Made an appointment to check measurements and made sure the correct unit was ordered - representative arrived on-time. Vented Fireplace will stainless steel inerts installed by AGI (American Gas Inspections, Inc.) - installation contractor for Comfort One. Comfort One followed up work with on-site inspection and phone calls to make sure we we satisfied. Very responsive company. Made additional house call when requested to adjust gas flames to specifications. Highly recommended. We also purchased an awning for back patio from Comfort One ($4306) which was also expertly and excellent installed.
