James Smiley Roofing and Construction

Everything went well until I needed Jim to fix a small problem that arose shortly thereafter and he became nonexistent. I left a message with a female at his work number stating my issue and was told that she’d have him call me back. Well, I waited a few weeks without a phone call before hiring someone else to make repair to roof. During those few weeks I left a second message on his answering machine without a return call. I didn’t have any trouble reaching Jim for roof replacement first time though. James Smiley performs nice work, but is nonexistent after initial service. I paid him without question or delay and was in good standing. A simple return call back stating that he was too busy would’ve sufficed and yielded a higher review grade from me. I would not recommend!

It went relatively smoothly until the problem arose. That took longer than I think it should have. Over all pleased with the work.

Extremely well. The crew worked hard and efficient. They were professional and finished in 1 1/2 days. I would highly recommend Smiley Roofing and Construction. Excellent clean up after the work was finished! The cost was very reasonable.

Called Smiley Construction on 4/29/2013 after being referred to them by Cambria Roofing to have leaking flashing fixed around chimney. They called back the same day and said that they could do that and took all of my information. The lady stated that they may not make it out until the weekend if it rained during the week. Which I said was fine. Well the week came and went with no rain and so did the weekend and nobody showed up. I called the following Monday and left a message to see if they were still planning on coming to the house to fix the leaks since the weather was calling for rain all week. No return call. Called the following day and left another message, still no return phone call. Finally called and told them not to bother and I was calling another company. Very unprofessional. As a business you at least owe customers the respect of a return phone call. Don't tell someone that you will be out to perform a service then never show up.
