Patio construction met my expectations
Workers were timely and courteous
Workers also let topsoil on property just as I requested
8 months later, patio is in great shape and is now being enjoyed during spring.
Can't wait to have have WJA return to add second patio around our sunroom.

We found the company at a local home improvement show. The quality of the display impressed us at the show.
Jeff Acosta, the owner, came out to our home multiple times and spent many hours with us finding out what we wanted to use the space for, our general likes and dislikes as far as building materials, and helped us to design the space. Jeff used spray paint on the grass to give us a better idea of exactly how big the space would be. He revamped that with us a couple of times.
Jeff also met us at the local materials supply store to look at different examples of finished product. The many photos in the Techo Bloc catalog and on the WJA web site were also helpful in whittling down all of the options. It is very difficult to imagine what it will look like finished and how the colors will work against your house siding. Our original idea included only the patio floor area. He suggested the sitting walls to define the space and add more seating. He worked around our two existing large trees that border the area, editing the plan, being careful not to damage the root system. The planning stage took the most time.
The prep work for the base was important. He explained to us how he planned the pitch for the rainwater to run off of the patio. It is a very solid patio.
In general:
He listened to our ideas and incorporated many of them but he always told us his true opinions what would work and what would not, based on his experience.
Communication was good and he always answered his phone messages in a timely way.
Jeff demonstrated great flexibility in working with us on the patio design. When we were unhappy with a border design, as it was being installed, he agreed to work with us and tried a plan b. He also brought over three different pillar caps, so that we could actually compare and contrast them, without having to imagine the outcome.
There is enough space for a conversation area and an eating area with a 64in square table, seating 8 people. There is a space dedicated to the BBQ and plenty of space to move a chaise lounge around to catch the sun.
The result is terrific! We are very happy with our new "outdoor room".

We couldn't be happier with Jeff's work. They were very punctual and worked hard. Jeff was here with his guys at some point every day. He was actually the one operating the backhoe at one point. His estimate was well below the three others we had gotten. He gave us good ideas and did not try to get us to spend more or do anything extravagant. He was very personable and used his ipad to show us what our walkways would look like, which was very helpful.

I thought they did a fantastic job. They delivered on everything they said they would do. They were very meticulous about their work. They were patient as we made decisions through out the process. They were knowledgable about what they were doing and how they were going to do it. They were also straight shooters and credible.
